Controls
Mouse & keyboard or PC game controller.

Key buttons can easily be changed in the game's menu.

Items can be cycled or choosen via keyboard numbers.
Ex.: "2" selects the item "dig"

Eating tips:
- Holding the button eats all in the area
- Make sure to hold still. Some times the robot is still in movement and will result in eating more than one thing.
- When next to an object, going backwards will narrow the front eating area, leading to eat only one furniture! (only press eat button after going backwards)

The menu is user friendly but the sentries are not. You have been warned!
Gameplay basic info
Not the Robots is a game in which players role-play a robot that must obtain random goals, in randomly generated hostile environments, in order to acess the exit.

After completing levels, players can be rewarded by XP, achievments and/or unlocks, depending on the selected mode, which will shortly be described further below.

!! IMPORTANT NOTES !!

!! Level unlocks give acess to not only goodies, but also new ennemies and upgrades for them!

!! XP is only given upon death / completion of chosen mode [if XP rewarded].

!! XP is only given upon death / completion of chosen mode [if XP rewarded].

!! Difficulty level changes:
- amount of XP received
- maximum starting health and maximum health
- increases number of ennemies
- number of traps (easy will have more traps / hard will have more sentries)

!! Developper input: each new campaign buildings increases difficulty by 15%! Max cap is 100%

!! Audio logs are part of a story entrie, which is automatically selected at the start of campaign. If a player misses one log, he will need to be in a campaign of the given story entry. Audio logs cannot be picked twice and will be always available in the campaign until all gathered (you cannot have a campaign with no audio logs if you didn't complete them all).

!! If a player completes a level while an audio log is running, the next level will not begin / appear until the log is over or skipped.

!! "There seems to be no danger in this building" [this kind of message; in campaign] means that there will be absolutely no sentries in the whole current building. Other ennemies still spawn. Dangerous traps are often hidden by furniture! Players should watch their steps.

!! Players can wait to spawn as long as they want. It is strongly recommended to look for key elements before starting.

!! Sentries know the region players are in! In big maps, players can notice that sentries tend to come back quickly over their area instead of turning around every corner. They DO NOT check every corner around the ninja robot UNLESS they see him.

!! A sentry that spots the furniture eating robot will hunt it down by running towards the last seen location (current if not hiding) and will then teleport randomly an object away. Most often, sentries wait to be next to the last seen spot to teleport an object (so you can't hide), unless the path to that spot is blocked.

!! Personal tip: never stand up! It is too easy to forget a sentry angle and get spotted. Also, crouching gives you slow speed and gives players more reaction time when finding traps under furniture.

!! Try to find spots the ninja robot can walk in withouth being hit or seen, he's more tiny than it seems!

!! Players can walk / run behind sentries, or wait around the corner if the sentry is going straight foward! They don't see 180 nor in their back!

!! Eat as a last resort! Sure max food gives you a bonus, but at which cost?
Ex.: Player A starts the level with a block item. He looks around and plans his path to all sequence goals. He then uses the block to close a path to the most threathful sentry, and ONLY THEN starts eating furniture! Doing so, playing hide and seek is way easier, and objectives won't be on their mind while dashing and eating their way to the exit.

!! XP special bonuses list (not all)
- no damage
- max food
- eat a freebie (get rid of a freebie)
- glutonny (get health crates while already max health)
- bomb squad (secret)

¦ GAME MODES ¦

> Campaign
Lots of buildings, 1 life. Find and collect audio logs (story entries [glowing computers]) while trying hard to make it to the final building! Each goal completion unlocks the reward crate [red when locked, green when available]. These crates have random goodies, such as score multipliers, +1 item slot and +1 scan. [A scan randomly shows one crate's content.]
Great mode for long games and audio log findings. ... and to reach the final building! (strongly recommended)
Possible rewards: XP, unlocks and achievements.

> Operations [unlockable]
For those who want to mix campaign and challenge mode: complete the buildings (most often 2) while sometimes having special tasks while doing them.
Possible rewards: XP, unlocks and achievements.

> Challenges [unlockable]
Some are easy, some are near impossible. Skill test stuff.
Possible rewards: achievements and something special if you do them all.

> Custom [unlocked at max level]
Create a randomly generated level by choosing level elements to include.
Possible rewards: achievements [hehehe].
!!Opinion!! Great for practice and in depth gamplay mechanic analysis.*
*Developper said acess wasn't granted to starting players so exploration could be more part of the

game (and wouldn't give spoilers on upgrades).

> Story entries [unlockable]
You can listen back to audio logs you have found.

> Options > Progress > Erase Progress
There is no achivment doing so.
Only thing I found useful about this is that players that do not want upgraded ennemies in campaign

mode can simply go back to the old days with this button.
Items (not all)
> Blocks
Will put a block (2 high) above you. After moving 1 space away, it will fall on the spot it was used.
!! There is one side slightly thinner; the ninja robot can squeeze if used to block a path to sentries.
!! Can be teleported by sentries!

> Dig
Eats a wall.
!! Dig between wall connections!
Ex.: 4 walls connect; destroy the junction.

> Stun
Place down a stun mine. Stuns ennemies in small radius.
!! Trigger is not an area, but the explosion is! Make sure it's really in line with your ennemy's path!

> Freebie
If HP goes to 0, players will then turn invisible and will be given a small amount of time to evade the crime scene.
!! Eating a freebie is a bonus given if you get rid of this item.

> Sprint
Self explanatory. Works for a short time, only when standing.

> Armor (unlocked)
Incoming damage reduction, passive item.
!! Can be stacked!

> Quickcharge
Requires less amount of food to recharge all of your other items.

Two questions: one, how DO you destroy sentries (particularly without gadgets), and two, who/what is Scary Thierry?

chek your options - keybindings, for the button to press! It's a button to hold down (mine is not default so can't say)

I missed it in the tutorial - how do you discard an item from inventory? I need to pick up a tagger, but I have no slots!

I won't give spoilers here, but you can ask in private if you want =) (the answer is tricky, but yes, you can...)

There's only one thing that Eludes me. The game said there was a way to destroy Sentries without gadgets, and I need to know HOW. They're the only things between me and victory.
