About mod:

Version 1.0

This is improved helicopter system, what i made for Vietnam '65 modification.
Helicopters maded very simple, cause they have only 1 component - Body.
Mod include 15 helicopter and their various modifications of Vietnam war era.
For people who love playing in editor and modmakers.

Credits:

Used resources:
  • GAME Men of War: Vietnam: UH-1, UH-1B, Mi-4.
  • GAME Men of War: Assault Squad 2 - Cold War: UH-1, Mi-8.
  • GAME Air Conflicts: Vietnam: CH-47, CH-53, AH-1G, OH-58, OH-6,
  • GAME Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: CH-46.
  • GAME Wargame: Red Dragon: Mi-2.

Permissions:

You can use it where you want, just don't forget credit my name.



EDITOR

Effects for mission triggers "entity/effect"
  • heli_control - for takeoff and land, works only when helicopter stopped.
  • heli_up - gain altitude, only after takeoff.
  • heli_down - reduce altitude, only after takeoff, but can land if altitude is minimum.
  • mod_mp - spawn in air, for mp mode, but you can call it if you dont want waste time to takeoff.
  • empty_landing
  • emergency_landing

Check "resource/map/example" folder for using helis by triggers.



HOW TO ADD NEW HELICOPTER

Export:

Same as exporting cars, but without, break animations.
All animations are ready in "properties/animation/helicopter" for "Basis" and "Body".
Only need make next animations:
  • "engine_work" - for bones animator1, animator2.
  • "engine_start" - for bones propeller1, propeller2.
  • "engine_stop" - for bones propeller1, propeller2.

Bones:

Bones "propeller1_work", "propeller2_work" should be hidden - {Visibility 0}
Bone "Basis" should be revolute with -0 0 limits, for rotation to enemy.

Check ".max" files in "example" folder in mod directory.
Used 3ds Max 2014.
