The game's official server has been down for a while; however, a developer was able to give the playerbase a workaround to play the game again.


Like the developer showed, the fix is straightforward. I will show you how to enable the game to connect to the new server.

1. You need to edit the HOSTS/hosts file. On Windows, you will find it in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

You will need to edit the file using a text editor and be able to save it by opening with administrator privileges.


2. Inside, you will add this new line after the comments:

3. And after you are able to save it, you're done! Now launch the game and you should be able to connect to the new server and play now. But remember, we don't know when this new server is going down.

You should also be aware that as of 06/06/2021, the game's microtransactions are disabled in the new server. You will not be able to purchase microtransactions for resources that allow you to allows you to unlock more minor features or upgrade armor (although, it's not as bad as it seems).

This does mean, however, that the starter pack does not work. I've tested it myself. You will not get the extra resources from the starter pack if you bought it! So do not buy the starter pack and you don't even really need it.

There also appears to be some missing features. The one I notice is that we cannot recruit other people's characters to be our henchmen.
