"Powering Humanity into the future."

This mod adds a SWS Motorized Pulse Rifle from Dead Space series, a military-grade weapon known for launching low caliber rounds at hypersonic speeds.

This weapon comes in three tiers and has custom fire\reload SFX as well as particle effects.
Also tintable!

Now includes custom reload animation and firing animation with recoiling barrels!

Can be added to inventory mid-campaign.

Weapon stats can be adjusted for separate weapon tiers in the XComPulseRifle.ini file.

Credits:

Original model, textures and sounds from Dead Space 2.
Model rigging/porting/firing and reload animation/Unreal setup by Aquilio

i would have a heart attack if i was walking through the ishimura from deadspace but instead of hearing a necromorph i just hear "kiryu chan"

It's simply because I originally intended to give the weapon a mid-range profile, rather than close-range one. For now I would recommend using the Template Master and pasting this in the XComTemplateEditor.ini config file to quickly replace the weapon ranges:

+Edit_X2WeaponTemplate = (T = "DS_PulseRifle_CV", P = "RangeAccuracy", OP = "Replace", V = "MEDIUM_CONVENTIONAL_RANGE")
+Edit_X2WeaponTemplate = (T = "DS_PulseRifle_MG", P = "RangeAccuracy", OP = "Replace", V = "MEDIUM_MAGNETIC_RANGE")
+Edit_X2WeaponTemplate = (T = "DS_PulseRifle_BM", P = "RangeAccuracy", OP = "Replace", V = "MEDIUM_BEAM_RANGE")

My only complaint is the balancing of the weapon and yes I modified the ini. My main complaint is the weapon ranges are really weird the pulse rifle is more of a close in weapon so why is range like 1-6 a negative? why not just copy the weapon range from the Conventional, Mag or beam ini?

NEW UPDATE:

Changed Mod ID and Weapon Template name to prevent confilicts with other Pulse Rifle weapon mods on the Workshop. Sorry for the inconvienience.

If a save is missing a mod with "PulseRifle" ID, you can ignore that message, as that ID has been changed.
