Drones Provide Cover

Some drones can act as cover to agents.

Specifically, armed drones (Akuma drones, Obake drones) provide cover. Pacifist drones (Camera drones, Pulse drones, Null drones) do not.

With Advanced Guard Protocol mod: Tsukumogami, Support, Destroyer and Enforcer drones will provide cover, Search and Omni drones will not.

Drones provide cover while active (hacked or not) and rebooting/KO, but not when destroyed. This makes them the only piece of mobile cover in the game!

Note that a drone cannot provide cover from itself. Remember that you can look for the transparent eye icon when hovering over a tile to see what directions are in cover.



For modders: Add the doesNotProvideCover trait to your armed drone if you want it to not provide cover.
