I DID NOT MAKE THIS PATCH, THIS PATCH WAS MADE BY REDDIT USER u/BladerCut, I AM JUST POSTING THIS GUIDE BECAUSE I SAW THAT NOBODY ELSE HAD POSTED IT ON STEAM. ALSO, NOT ALL SONGS ARE COMPLETELY UNCOMPRESSED, THE CREATOR IS WORKING HARD TO GET ALL SONGS.

Update 7/21/21

The mod has been updated to v.05 as of today. Updates and overview on the mod can be seen at this link [gamebanana.com]. Make sure to show the creator some support!

Step 1

Visit this url [drive.google.com], and click on "PC ONLY - SMT3 Nocturne HD", and then download. Make sure to unzip the file once it is downloaded.

Step 2

After it is downloaded, open the SMT3 files by right clicking Nocturne in your steam library, clicking properties, and in the local files tab, click browse... After you have opened the file location, navigate to "\smt3hd_Data\StreamingAssets\PC".

Step 3

Make sure to copy all of the files from the "PC" folder, and paste them into the patch folder that says "BACK UP YOUR OLD FILES HERE", just in case something gets corrupt.

Go into the "PATCH FILES" folder and paste all of the files into the "PC' folder in your Nocturne folder. It will ask you if you want to replace the files, press yes.

After it is done, you should be good to go. Enjoy your uncompressed music!

For anyone looking into this now, do what @ok said a few posts down. Use 7zip to extract the files. The built in windows archive manager throws errors.

Workaround: Add the archives content to your own drive and download it all as a zip. works for me.

Files still don't extract for the steam version

Sorry, I meant to finish the mod in August 2023 but haven't had the space to sort everything out about it. I'll finish it sometime this year.
I think that the current version requires 7Zip to extract the files, or at least it doesn't work with the built-in Windows archive manager, so you might have luck with WinRAR as well.
In the future, I'll upload it to Gamebanana, as I think the upload limit has increased since I made the mod. If not, I'll make it a more standard zip file so that any program can extract it.

@HD Ketchup - Mod is incomplete anyways and hasn't been updated in three years, I wouldn't recommend bothering.
