NOTICE: As per usual, this addon uses scripts. This will not work in Dedicated servers. Use local/listen servers, or singleplayer instead.
An upside to this is that if you can see this addon's effects, everyone else can.

Bill's sacrifice was permanently marked as a static point in the history of L4D2. There was no changing it.

...or was there?

Now the ritual can be completed with the gruff biker, the optimistic black dude, or even the young girl!


The inventories of any survivors that survive The Sacrifice, or are still somewhat living but not on the bridge will be saved.
Of course, the survivors not on the bridge will be dead in the same spot in The Passing.

You need to finish any game of The Sacrifice finale in order to see this addon's effects on The Passing.
It doesn't matter if you play through the entire Sacrifice campaign, you can skip straight to the finale.
The butterfly effect will take effect once you restart the generator, or fail the finale.
And no, you can't switch to a Dedicated Server in one of these steps, it is required to do both of these in a Local/Listen server or Singleplayer.

Also supports the Survivor Swap mutation from Rayman's Mutation mod.


No, this does not edit the talker to account for the changes.
Not only are talkers something I barely have knowledge about, there's also the fact of the lack of voicelines for situations like Bill surviving.
As such, expect the L4D1 survivors to still talk to their dead group members as if they're still alive or go awkwardly silent, and the L4D2 survivors also doing so.

Three custom conversations with Bill in the first map of the Passing will happen. Louis' will still be quiet.


Will attempt to support custom Sacrifice maps, like The Sacrifice - True Ending. However, you need to wait until the victory music for it to save data on those maps instead of immediately after the generator restart.
And there's no guarantee custom Sacrifice maps will work properly, either.

Other notices
- The sacrificed posed bodies of the L4D1 survivors excluding Bill have a possibility to get messed up if you have a survivor model addon installed for them.

Texture reskins are fine. Model reskins can potentially mess up the posed dead bodies. CST custom survivors are the one not compatible with this mod at all.

Hey could you make it so ellis doesn't talk to himself or coach, nick, and rochelle, since if one of the l4d1 characters are dead and one of the l4d2 characters try to have a conversation with the dead one, it will sound like they are talking to themselves... so are you able to fix that?
