found the cause:
this was conflicting with Build Info (bleeding edge version)

changed to the normal release version of Build Info and no more crashes.

im getting game errors telling me this mod is crashing the game.

@EldoRosen, user issue i think. i tested this today and works on our server (firefly 3.0)
You have to set the connector to trade mode and make sure the buyer selects the ship inventory/tank block.
