"While filling in the feedback form I started wondering about other Wizards. We already know four of them, but I love the idea of a Wiz who can re-position enemies more effectively, in ways similar to Attack The Breach

The Druid Mafia (who maybe should be called the Dryads?) also have some interesting questions around them; are those their faces or just masks? Is the heavy 'Ent' human or tree? Is this an X-Men style situation where some people wake up one day with their skin turning into bark? My mind got carried away with that idea.

So here is my Dryad, I don't know what their name is, I would love suggestions.

Their abilities, as I see them, are as follows:

Primary - Brambard

Launches a powerful stream of brambles from their hand that can carry an enemy along

Targeting: Path, max length 3, 1 bend
Costs 1 action

Select a tile within range to draw a path - deals 1 knockback consecutively down each tile of the path.
If the path is shorter than 3 tiles long, you may select an additional tile to redirect and define the end of the path. All angles must be 45 degrees.

(see the picture for two examples; the orange marks are targeted tiles, red marks are there the enemy ends up)

Possible Upgrades: +2 Range, +1 Range & Bend, Reversable (toggle to pull from the furthest tile rather than push from the user), Effects Intel (pushes/pulls intel along the path)

Gameplay Notes: To work with Zan's followup shots, this ability should only be able to affect one unit; if the unit being knocked back doesn't leave their current tile then the chain ends.

Secondary - Pea Shooter

Fires a small sidearm quickly enough to get off multiple shots

Targeting: LOS
Costs 1 Action (first shot)

Deals one damage. Once fired, allows for a second shot that only costs 1 Mana: this shot does not need to be against the same target.

Possible Upgrades: +1 knockback on the second shot, +1 tile of movement per shot

Gameplay Notes: You only gain 1 mana-based shot; a third shot requires an Action. The ability always uses an Action (counting as a first shot) if the user has one available.

Grenade - Proximity Vine

Throw a rapidly-growing plant that grabs the first thing that moves past it.

Targeting: Grenade
Costs Mana (possibly 2, see my forum post for more info)

Creates a 1-radius overwatch aura; pulls the target into the middle when triggered.
Can be shot to manually detonate - always picks the weakest, lightest target first.

Possible Upgrades: Place on walls, increased aoe, stuns enemies, +1 temporary armor if used on an ally

Gameplay Notes: on top of the obvious, the mine can act as an anchor for Jen's chain lightning or (potentially, as a living thing) Priest's Switch. Since it pulls to the origin it can be used to deal damage if placed on a cover tile or a wall.

Charms:

possible upgrades:

+1 Armor (bark skin)
Move>Action Conversion (shows as button next to Cover, spends Move to gain an Action)"

Yeah, no, i'm an idiot, it's a placeholder.

Ah it was just a fear I had since they were moving away from the cops angle, but I forgot she was a Rebel Riot Priest, and it looks like she's actually a civilian who stole the gear.

Also, on the twitter it turns out there's a video that shows the four current agent's tables, and it spins past the other two. I think you're right that one's a tree, the other might be like a stone monolith or something techy? Or just a placeholder, y'know.

you can see the tables when you go into the upgrade screen, but you can't get a good look at them. Also, what are you talking about with the Priest getting axed?

Thanks guys!
Yeah, i'm hoping there's a fair few wizards in the game - even if they're not in the story it'd be fun for map making (idk if the priest is gonna get axed given the issues with Jen, but she has a lot of potential for fun gameplay)

I didn't notice the tables, now I need to find a way to look at them

I absolutely love this idea! Hopefully the developers make at least one DLC pack to bring us this sort of thing, and, you know, make them $$$ to spend on their future games!

I dig it. Actually, in the upgrade screen you can see a few more tables that are greyed out. one of them resembles roots and a tree, so I think this concept is closer to reality than you might realize.
