  1. First of all you have to visit the editor[acurisu.github.io].
  2. Then press the arrow icon to select your GAMEDATA file.

  4. Select the slots you want to change and edit them as you desire.
  5. Click the save icon (seen below) to download the modified file.
What can currently be edited?
General
This section allows you to modify and view non-categorized fields such as your name or your XP.

There are some limitations:
  • The game doesn't like you having a negative amount of money.
  • While technically the name could be longer than 10 characters I choose to follow that limit as they implemented it for a reason.
  • Not all maps can be loaded and thus might result in your game crashing.
  • Even when modifying the character the game might decide to load another one as certain conditions are not fullfilled.

Quests
This section is used to modify which quests are available and/or completed.

Note that settings a quest to be available does not mean it's completable as this gets decided by checking the overall game progress.

Yes you can set a quest to be completed without it being set available.

Weapons & Words
Some DLC weapons do not have a model yet thus using them will lead to you slashing enemies barehanded.

Disclaimer
It is possible to introduce weird states by for example giving yourself items you shouldn't have at the wrong time. This is rather rare but I do recommend keeping a backup of your file.
Opinion
While I recommend everyone to play the game to it's fullest I understand why someone would like to modify their save file, be it wanting to change their name or setting a quest as complete due to it being tedious or having missed it.

The entire source code and more can be found on the corresponding GitHub page[github.com].

Got solza, I'll be manually grinding the rest. Thank you so so much for this, it took me a bit though, didn't realize I needed to replace the gamedata file altogether. Thank you again!

I will try that, thank you!

@maroonjumper While I have never tried it you should be able to access the save file (likely under /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/<id>/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/... or something) and then as usual edit and replace it.

Any way to use this on a steam deck?

Works very well. I had to use it to finish 2 quests that I missed on the first half.

@Devalaous yes this would be able to get you your missing letter, just make sure to keep a copy of your save just in case.

I missed a single letter in the early game, would this let me get that without restarting my 46 hour save file?
