Nope. Had a few runs where I killed him off pretty easily. Played with a friend after that and he trashed me.

Also you can use a reflex-retaliation character and it goes down in a bit( n_n' ). Dream+Runes gets the job done since the monster hits pretty hard he gets a lot of damage back. Be aware that you should invest a decent amount of Health points for the build to work as spected not only for ShadowMaw!!

Yep) But never since ;) Kiting is the way. With poison builds even on level 12 he goes down easily, just hit and run lol

Got over probably 1K hours on this game from my child hood and now on steam and I've never ran into shadowmaw yet for the achievement.

Ran the first time - barely got away; second time after a good bit of leveling and a good bit of kiting brought it down, but it was tedious for sure.

Yeah. I hate him very much. Have to wind circles around the fucking abyss.

I didn't expect his damage output when I first encountered him. I was frankly very confused because I had never encountered him before in regular TQ and IT. Just realized he's an AE addition.
