For Stellaris 3.2.x, Gigastructure Engineering compatible.

This mod disabled AI's ability to research habitats technologies and terraforming technologies. It may improve late-game performance.

It only disables AI tech weight, so if AI got that kind of technology elsewhere like some origins then it won't affect them.

Q: Why not disable the megastructure building weight?
A: There might be a lot of mods that adds new habitat types, and overwritting them is not wise at all. Also there is some fancy mods that includes this feature, if you want you can find them via search.

Q: Is this achievement compatible?
A: NOOOOOOOOOO.

Q: Can I use it alongside with A, B, C, ... mods?
A: It only overrides the vanilla technology related to habitats and terraforming, including 3 habitat technologies and 3 terraforming technologies.

Q: Can I research those technologies?
A: YES. It only disabled AI's ability. However, 3.0.x introduces new auto research option, of which may use the AI weight too, but even that happened you can still manually pick the technology.

Hey guys,

I took a look at the code, and yes, it still works fine with 4.1.x, even after four years. So, you don't need to worry about it being broken.

No big update is needed right now, but I'll soon upload a tiny update just to change the version number to 4.1.x so the game launcher stops flagging it as "outdated."

so iv got a weird bug with this mod
whenever i activate it it disables my dlc's
turn this mod off and the dlc's work again.

@CacoSteven Vanilla AI won't terraform 9 basic planet classes between each other, but they will terraform planets from nuked planet, barren planet, cold barren planet. Also if they can they would terraform any planet to gaia planet, machine planet and hive planet. basically they have conditions like energy higher than 40k and requires 10k or less to complete. So AI do terraform, they simply don't have the energy credit XD.

Are we talking vanilla AI that terraforms? Because again, I never see them do it and it's one of those features that I keep wanting them to bring back. Maybe I've just been really unlucky and never see them actually do it in my games because they don't need to (immigration).

@CacoSteven To improve performance sometimes people set to habitable planets 0.25x. When AI don't have any new planet for colonization, they start terraform. Then they colonize, then game lags due to pop job calculation.:steamsad:
