Using right click instead of left click will stop the window from closing.
It will also allow you to click directly on the icon rather than inside the window.

Clicking to fast on a icon will cause it to freeze just before completion !









The fastest speed without freezing is 80 ms on my system, it may vary with your specs.

Just user AHK (AutoHotKey). If the code for it is difficult, check out Pulover's Macro Creator, it is a GUI for AHK and very useful.
