Pedestrian Path #05 (Bike Only - Two Way)




Prolog

Hello all together !

Encourage you Cims to take the bike and help to keep the city clean and healthy ! ;)

These two new "ped pathways" are bike only versions. They look exactly as the previous
three ped pathways. Hence you can integrate these seamlessly in to your already existing
ped network ! :)

They come as a two way and a one way version.

About the Path(s)

  • all elevations
  • every set comes devided into two parts



  • Part I = ground version only (behaves and looks like park life path)



  • Part II = the rest, elvated/bridge and tunnel version (all elevations shown below)



  • Path#04 - about 4 meter in width
  • Path#05 - about 8 meter in width


  • elevated version with a low fence
  • bridge version with a higher chainlink fence
  • slope with grass on top


Dependencies

  • Highway Prop pack - seeling light for the tunnels
  • decals prop pack for the ground bike sign

It´ll work without these two. Its just beautification. ;)

Issues / Walkarrounds

  • in order to connect the elevated versions gapless to the ground versions, I had to make some design choices
  • that means, when connecting the ground versions to "normal vanilla paths", the
    connection/node might not look that nice (example below)

    [btw its not the bike path on the picture, but these work exactly the same way as the previous three]



  • move it might be needed to ajust the position of the pillars
  • plus connecting the elevated versions to vanilla park life parts may also result in a
    "gap/ugly connection"

    Thats nothing that can be changed. Sadly, this is how the game works in some cases.

These networks use the exact same textures and lod materials as the three networks before...
plus one new "texture". These textures are also already used in other networks, which I´ve
already released and will be used in new networks as well.

If you already use only one of the mentioned networks, then your needed ram space will be almost
none.


Forgotten thoughts

I´ll add them when they are back ... ;)

@sLurMz You can't connect them to roads "nicely", because they re pedestrian networks and no road networks... as simple as that. ;) that counts for all pedestrian networks.

Part #02 seems to cause a zoning issue, wherein it clips through zones without collision, requiring manual dezoning.

I wonder why those are called pedestrian paths when they are obviously bicycle paths only..

It's a bit misleading if someone just reads the title without reading the description or looking at the pictures.

@clus i tried the colouring. Network Skins changes the overall appearence of the network and not only the green ground BUT that is not a issue to me at least! I just wanted to get back to you and tell you this!

"2 DLCs? REALLY?" well yes. After Dark DLC originally added the bike lanes but with the release of Park Life DLC and the paths of that DLC the way of making paths changed for the games sense. So bike paths made in a game with Park Life DLC activated require that DLC automatically. If it is NOT activated the asset would only require the After Dark DLC. @INoScopedJFK
