yes 3.0 is bad but 1.0 was even worse, the same was 2.0, there were interesting mechanics, I liked the special resources from before 2.0 and managing the planets was very simple, but although I liked it, I think it was too easy now. In fact, everything in this game is better now, the ring world can no longer generate as much energy as 10 dyson spheres which was silly when these structures came out. ok maybe but it requires doing + 5% energy from jobs 30 times

99% on old game use hyperspace travel to soooo :D

but these travel systems were removed before the entry of 2.0: D and in addition, the current system is much better and requires tactical thinking when deploying and avoiding star bases, for example my colleague wants to defeat me with 300 fleets when I had a 1000 power base sent at me and the pirates attacked as soon as they entered my territory destroying my defense point.

2.0 had better movement and transportation, 3.0's eco feels less like a shitty mobile game, both of them had/have way too much fucking lag at endgame

Aren't the two different methods of transport just options later in the game now? Warp travel is jump drives, and wormhole travel is gateways?

3.0 was so much better than 2.0. The fact that starbases are around stars rather than planets still feels unbelievably stupid to me. I stopped playing and only came back around the time federations released because the game was just so much worse after 2.0.

Since i never got to play 2.0 or older. No opinion from me. Still variety of things in empire building game woultbe nice.

i wish they had leaned more into asymmetrical technologies
