This is a spoiler free achievement guide for The Picture In the House. Following this you should be able to get all five achievements available in the game.

However, this is not a walkthrough for the game itself, and it's not within the scope of this guide to explain how to get through the game or solve all the puzzles within it. I'll only include the puzzle solution for the one achievement directly tied to a puzzle, but it will be hidden by the spoiler tag.

The following achievements are unmissable will be unlocked simply by progressing through the game.

The Assesour achievement is a hidden achievement. It's very easy to get, but only if you know how.


At the start of the game, simply walk past the broken cart and press "E" on the gray stones on the left side of the road(from a point where the bridge is visible in the fog). One of them will make a picture and some text appear in the middle of the screen, and the achievement will unlock.

This is the hardest achievement to get in the game, and requires you to read everything there is to read. Readable objects come in two forms: Books that you will open up by moving close to them, and notes you must interact with to read. The books comes in several shapes and sizes, whilst the latter are either flat pieces of paper or rolled up scrolls.
