Background
The Mikado was one of the most common steam locomotives in service in the US during the early 20th century but we already knew that. This mod is pretty straight forward, we needed more early American steam and the Mikado needed some updating so through the power of imagination and harassment of the meatman I present you the second part in a series of Mikado shenanigans.





Whats inside the magic box?
  • 10 liveries.
  • Updated sound files.
  • Important model updates including addition of missing pieces from the locomotive that was in the vanilla model.
  • Fancy Shmansy meatball lights.
  • Added front couplers, and updated rear coupler to MCs (Huge shoutout to him and the amazing work hes done for the NA Modding community).

Q&A
  • Wheres <insert railroad here>? Well as stated above this is the first part of a series of Mikado repaints but I would be glad to hear any suggestions for repaints that I could add to the list for the future.
  • What about railroads that used cylindrical water tenders instead of the more common tender? Eventually I intend to do the water tenders
  • Where can I report a bug or issue? The comments section would be a good place to start

As a final remark I really would like to express my gratitude to Meatball for helping me get this published and to modelcitizen for his couplers!

These are very fine skins, I do have trouble breaking up with my love the og skin because of O.M.C.A., whatever the heck that is.

Please do the MKT (Missouri Kansas Texas). simple scheme with a red MKT shield on the tender and the road number under the cab customized.

There's a bug where you can't use the whistle in Cab mode. Specifically on the ATSF, but it could be on others. Can you fix that please?

Like Gladden said the main headlight in offset to the right and forward of the locomotive looking at it head on. This is a bug that started happening a couple of months ago since it was working fine and suddenly started happening. I love all the skins in both mods but the headlight bug is a little annoying since it makes doing cinematic shots difficult.

For me the the middle headlight is off floating adjacent to the locomotive model.

yeah its obviously a hard thing to judge because none of us were alive to see these in service 5-10 years into their service life, and all we have are pretty crappy old photos from that time, so its a lot of guesswork. Your other mods give me no reason to think you wont get it right, so I can't wait to see it!
