Each car is recolorable as the body of each car has it's own group. The lights are in their own group too so you can switch them off.
For the convertible car; click on one of the headlights to select all lights of that car and switch them from automatic to off.

The other two cars work the same for the front lights, but have the Australian glow in the dark lights as rear lights.
Click on a rear light to select that group and delete it. There will still be rear lights, but they don't light up.

There are side bars on the side of the car. The bars are in a separate group and can also be easily recolored that way. You will have to dive inside the doors to select them though.

Including interior.
