DMAF Panther Schürzen MT-1

Beskrivning
Description: DMAF Panther Schürzen MT-1
The Panther Schürzen MT-1 is a medium tank with robust all-around armor, good speed, sizable gun and a low profile.

Craft concept and history:
The original idea came from the Sand Viper and it’s use of a low profile, with that in mind a medium tank that could punch trough early and mid-game factions with not much but a single APS gun and that could be affordable in small numbers by the opening engagements started development.
After the original hull was found too small to fit proper armor a Sherman Calliopi style missile rack was fitted on the top to give it immense alpha strike, since it could not survive contact with the enemy.
After several full overhauls and completely changed measures (from 22 by 21 by 4 and 1,299 volume to 27 by 25 by 6 and 2,264 volume) almost 90 versions and some hundred hours the vehicle finally achieved it’s initial intended design.

    Important Info:
  • Flooding will completely kill the power on the vehicle, leaving it stranded and defenseless with no way to fight back.

    Field Report:
  • Despite being a medium tank the armor layout provides good protection against HEAT/HESH and more conventional guns, the crossing internal pattern of the HA makes it so the internal components are isolated from each other, making successful penetrations of the armor layout less damaging
  • Cross country performance is quite good, handling hills and so on well, damage to the front or back is minimal/rare unless going through truly hellish terrain, the onboard material storage also gives it quite the range.
  • The engine in it’s current setting is capped, giving very little wiggle room for losses, duo to the use of jet generators the vehicle can’t go in water at all, amphibious variant has been discontinued for the same reason.

    Closing Statements:
  • This vehicle should prove a decent fighting platform with some versatility for modifications, showcasing how speed and low profile can increase your survability exponensially
