I'm not sure it's consequential for human vs human matches as you can delete the extra stock, but it stops the infantry upgrade from being usable in a limited stock game vs the AI. Check it out just to see what I mean.

These ones are just way too useful to be that cheap.
I just that i think that 4 cores for heavy or mountain Infantry make it suboptimal to buy.
I better get rifle Infantry or a tank. Or even heavy artillery. It cost the same.
I'd rather have all vanilla infantry core slots reduced by 1 so at least basic infantry would becheaper to have than tanks or aircrafts.
Do you know what Scenario you ran into core slot issues? I would be curious to know the infantry lineup you had.
Also, I've got another mod that adds a Military Police unit with reduced Core Slot cost. The MP units fits in well with these changes. It also adds a Sniper unit, but that's off topic ;) Thanks again.

It makes specialized infantry much less viable.
