So before you begin here is a little list over thing you may need:
A melee/ranged weapon
And Some armor to keep you protected
If you want to earn a bit more you can put some talent points into the Good Fortune perk that gives you more gold after kills. (15% More at rank 3/3) That means you will earn about 40G isnsted of 20-25G
With this you are good to go!
Time to farm!
So, with your gear and weapon(s) equiped, you are ready to farm!
Do you rememeber the goblins you met at: Eastern Forest? You know, at the start of the game? Well, they drop they'r shield and it is worth 60 Gold!
if you keep killing them and loot they'r shield you can end up with a lot of money!
Plus, they also drop about 20-25 Gold!
So, go to: Goblin Ruins, and kill goblins, when the area is cleared go to Goblin Ruins again. When you enter the area again they respawn (it's like magic!)
it is as simple as that! I make about: 4K pr trip, going out, killing goblins looting the shield till my backpack is full and then doing the same thing again until I saved up enough money.
Just keep in mind, this will take a bit of time! About 15-20 mins depending on how much you can carry
End word
I hoped I helped you out!
There might be a more effective way to earn money, so I will update this guide if I find one...
With that said. Stay safe, and safe often!

the only better way to make money in this game is to hack it. i used to farm shields too in my walkthrough. this game is too poor and simple to provide some different way for anything realy.
also crossbow is all u need. its the most imbalanced weapon in the game. believe me u dont need anything except crossbow.

When i wrote that comment i was still in the second ravenstone quest. I have now obtained the elven armour and am proceeding to gold grind the elves.
My crossbow is the 4000 gold one, my crossbow skill is 130+ and i have 200% sneak damage, so one sneak shot is all i need.
God i love that crossbow, it always helps when you need it

Haha nice, but near the end of the game there are dark elvs bows and they are worth something like 850G, so dont spend all you're time on the goblin shields

i dont think there is anything i can add to this. heres something irrelevant, the large home in north aven is a barren copy of the house carrowen/ house pellemon structure, just thought id let you know. i only bought it so i could have fun decorating it

And i will be sure to add it to this section when i get the time

Ok i have one more thing to add that ive been doing during this gold grind method.
I call my falcon and ride around attracting as many goblins at once then i haul back to john (the dude outside of the tent) then kill all the goblins that followed and then sell to john. its just something different that i do
