S Tier

Bullhorn SG

Top tier shotty, use it to obliterate any bosses, spongy units or just regular zombies you come across. Suggest you equip 12ga ammo pouches to make sure you don't run out ammo too quick.

Frost/Shock/Flame blade

Become Raiden with these dual handed swords - wide attacks will wipe out groups of wanderers, use leap attacks to get them before they get you.

GEIST P30

Fully automatic sidearm with large ammo capacity, won't let you down either as a backup plan or main weapon of choice if you time your bursts well.

Combat Axe

A dual handed weapon featuring potentially very high damage with the fast attack speed of dual handed weapons, though it features no elemental damage

WU S324LB

Excelent revolver, dealing a ton of damage with each bullet and reloading relatively fast, it's a fine addition to any arsenal.

URAGAN-5P

Secondary shotgun with high damage and decent reload time, solid choice for a sidearm.

S1000 EXT.

Like the bullhorn, it's a top tier shotgun that nearly instantly mows down hordes at close range, and this one has the benefit of being easier to upgrade.
A Tier

Portable Pile Driver

A strong thrusting weapon like the glaive, except it exchanges elemental damage for raw damage - use if you're not playing extreme missions.

Frost/Shock/Flame glaive

Useful as a backup weapon for poking zombies to death, use this to complement your arsenal.

Skulls Machete

Pretty decent dual handed sword, second only to the elemental blades featured in S tier.

PG-57

Awesome machinegun with the largest magazine capacity in the game and somewhat controllable recoil.

AM MRS-71

The best sniper in the game - semi-auto, high damage and a 20 round magazine will let you rain death on zombies from a safe distance.

B Tier

Burkov Sup.

While great in singleplayer for stealth takedowns on unsuspecting zombies, the majority of enemies in coop will already be alert to your presente, severely limiting
the use of this supressed pistol.

Bametov SV

Decent semi-auto sniper, low magazine and mediocre damage but still a good choice for long distance killing.

SVG-67 / AM MRS-4R

Two identical assault rifles, differing mostly in perks. SVG uses 7.62mm rounds while the MRS-4R uses 5.56mm rounds. Packing 3x30 magazines each, they're a solid choice for primary firearms.

C Tier

Brennan LRS-46

Suffers from a very low fire rate and below average damage compared to the other snipers, Bambetov and MRS-71 with GRIM or explosive rounds is the better choice.

Compound & Crossline bows

Two identical epic tier bows, though only marginally useful with the right type of arrows. See arrows below.

Battle Sickle

Decent damage for a single hand weapon, swings fast but barely deals any damage, even on hard difficulty.

High Frequency Machete

Cheaper alternative to the Battle Sickle, easier to upgrade and maybe worth trying to see if it suits your style.

WU S333

A revolver with good damage but only 6 bullets in the cylinder, solid firearm until you find something better.

Drill Spear

Decent thrusting weapon to replace a common equivalent, suggest upgrading ASAP.

High Frequency Baton

Low damage and fast attack rate with some added shock damage, sadly you won't be stunning zombies any time soon with this weapon.

AM D114LB

A straight upgrade to the AM D114 TC, it's a good sidearm choice until you find something better.

GEIST P3

A pistol with a unique configuration: Hold left click to fire a 3 round burst, or tap to fire a single round. Decent damage especially when fired up close onto a zombie head.

M2000-D

Bolt-action sniper - instant kill on headshots and fairly easy to get, suffers from slow rate of fire.

AM MRS-4 TC

Versatile and highly modular assault rifle, mediocre damage is somewhat compensated by being able to carry 3x30 magazines on its own.
D Tier

Frost/Shock/Flame Jet Hammer

While it deals a ton of damage to anything it hits, it's already possible to one-hit-kill zombies with upgraded swords and the large swing times will only leave you vulnerable to attacks.

Jet Axe

Like the Jet Hammer except it deals even more damage at the expense of elemental damage, making it a slightly worse and overkill choice of weapon.

Drill Hammer

A slight downgrade to the epic tier hammers but still as useless and overkill.

S1000

While still able to instantly delete zombies at near point blank, its damage quickly falls off after that. Solid weapon for early game.

AM D114 TC

Solid choice for a firearm, not that different from its common or rare counterparts.

RASP TB-SG

Solid choice for a side shotgun, suffering only from very low ammo capacity.
E Tier

Slingshot

An improvised slingshot - its only use is to stun enemies, including detonators, but it's peak redundancy in this game.

BURKOV

Your starting pistol! Low ammo capacity, low damage. Replace ASAP.
Arrows

For arrows, you're going to want to use Flame, RPA and explosive. Flame arrows spread flames around the ground where they hit, RPA arrows punch trough any zombies in their way, but they don't always lign up nicely for you. Explosive arrows are my favorite for their splash damage, but it may not always be an instant kill.
Ammo

Ammo is different from arrows in which all types are useful, some more than others.
Unlike arrows, elemental bullets do not have an Area of Effect, so their element is only applied to the enemy they hit.
Overpressure bullets will deal extra damage at the cost of weapon durability, do not recommend.
AP bullets have some punch trough, though deal a bit less damage and are not ideal.
GRIM bullets are ideal as they have extra critical rate, dealing more damage although they cost Tungsten alloy to build. Recommend using these whenever you can.
Exclusive to some types of ammo, Explosive bullets deal good AOE damage and cost Composite explosive to build, which is plentyful - another recommended use.

12.7mm AP rounds are used exclusively for the Brennan, see the categories above.

Slingtshot rounds.

Why isn't the spear top tier? Spin to win+max dex makes you unstoppable.

The elemental glaive's are s tier with running attack if you have elemental damage up on ur clothing and super strength boost assault with lure ability, since it has the best running attack. 10/10 can safely kill hordes in extreme without expending ammo.

Dual handed blades work great for damaging bosses. Heavy arrows are somewhat useful, but nothing compared to the top tier arrows.
I find spear to be weak compared to dual handed weapons, they do have good range though. Save for elemental zombos, I use fire melee weapons for that extra damage.

I usually stuck with spears, and relied on a high stamina build to repeatedly do the running spin attack into groups of enemies. Very effective and also able to do it repeatedly with a run in, spin, run out, run back in and spin, etc style of play. Usually enough to kill most of them on the first spin and if not, rely on elemental damage to finish off any who lived.

The hammers are great for killing boss-type enemies, especially because the Devastator has such high damage reduction that most munitions deal chip damage. Also, no love for heavy arrows? 200% damage but without the durability drawback of overpressure rounds.
