X56 HOTAS Configuration for Independence War 2: Edge of Chaos

This guide describes how to configure Independence War 2: Edge of Chaos to work with your Logitech X56 HOTAS.

Configuration
1. Locate your game directoy.
2. Navigate to sub directory "configs"
3. Create a copy of default.ini and rename to x56.ini
4. Create a second copy and rename to x56_2.ini (this will be the same except for joystick1 and joystick2 will be swapped - this is for convenience as sometimes the throttle is joy1 and the stick joy2 and sometimes it is the other way around)
5. Copy and paste the below into the files x56.ini and x56_2.ini respectively, replacing any existing content
6. Save both files and start the game.
7. In the game: Navigate to Options / Controls / Control Style and select x56 (or x56_2 if you need joy1 and joy2 swapped)
8. Enjoy.
9. Reconfigure any content in the ini files as you prefer. For help which switch is which number see this useful image: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/upload/iblock/2f6/X-56-DCS-Buttons.png

Not sure, I tested this with an X56 ... Works like a charme for that.

will this work for any stick? i have 3 virpil sticks and a throttle
