Ganymede Technologies – Quantum Displacement Drive / Reactor

Ganymede Technologies introduces the Quantum Displacement Drive!. This drive is capable of tearing spacetime instantly delivering you to your selected GPS coordinates. (Max 4200km Distance).

The Quantum Displacement Drive harnesses power of a White Dwarf Star thus enabling it to rip through spacetime and travel a distance of 4200km with no Mass restrictions. This means it does not matter the size/mass of the ship, it will always travel 4200km.

In addition to this is a Quantum Reactor that can produce 800mw of power while still using Uranium Ingots as a source of fuel.




*These blocks have been balanced based on cost to build, size, and power output.



Effects
Besides the obvious spinning effect of the 3 rings surrounding the Star, you will also notice when staring at the star it will pulsate. (Slowly growing dimmer and then brighter).

- Fixed Thumbnail image typo
- Fixed Weight limitations on Drive. Weight/Mass of grid no longer affects Displacement Drive Travel distance. Basically you will always be able to travel at the drives max distance.

@diex40 The updated Hyperdrive mod will do 512,000 km, which should work for you. I'm looking for the standard jump drives in a 1x1x1 size (large and small grid) and am having no luck. Jump Drives + only goes down to 1x1x2

I am adding this mod to one of my servers. when testing with normal jump drives I noticed when the Quantum jump drive is on it removes the weight restrictions for normal jump drives too. Is this a bug? If not is there a way to change it so that does not happen?

Ganymede Quantum Displacement Drive. this has been done before. I have seen the movie. its a little out there. the one bad thing is that you can turn this core into a Gateway through space and time.:steamthumbsup:

@Sargonnas in the workshop description it states 4200km max distance but in game under the block description it states 8200km, may want to correct that. Not sure which is correct.

@clarbr1996 there is 1 conveyor around the center bottom of the quantum reactor
