The ultimate shelter 3 guide

This is a complete guide for shelter 3, with explanations of all the paths and how to avoid troubles :D

Your first path choice. Upon interacting with your first star, and taking a quick trip to ghost land, you will get your first choice. The lotus pond or Banyan tree. I will be describing these paths one by one

Paths if you pick Banyan tree: option one: This path will lead you through hungry crocs. Make sure to get fruit from the tree right before them. You can take your time but make sure not to go right behind them. They will turn around and grab one of the 3 babies you have in your herd. Your calf included. You can tell when they are going to attack when they go under the water and start hissing a lot. When you go through this path make sure to not go past the bone. Tigers lurk in the area past it and will kill your young elephants. The bone leads to a different path anyway. You aren't really supposed to access it yet. In the croc path, make sure you eat so your herd can, and follow the path requested of you.

Banyan tree path 2. This path will ALSO lead you through the crocs. Just do the same thing for the first and follow the path requested. Then again, you could also go through the tiger path I mentioned before, but the tiger path is riskier.

Banyan tree paths path options. Option one: This path will lead to where the tiger path would have led too, but without the risk of tigers. Stick to the wall and make sure you have stocked up on food. Be sure to travel fast. This path is easier than facing tigers, so I recommend it for a first time.

Banyan tree paths second path. In this path you will face a tiger. Try to avoid them and keep to yourself. Tigers blend in well and will stalk you, so keep an eye out and defend your young. This path means you DO have to go all the way back though sadly. Keep your baby close when you hear the intense music as you follow the requested path. Never let it get an inch away from you. Don't get scared and run. Think of it like foxes from shelter two, they will only come for your young when you get far enough away. You can see the tiger in the grasses so try to avoid it, if you get too close, it doesn't matter how close you are to your baby, the tiger will slightly change the music and come kill it.

After these paths you have the same option 2 for both paths, but a different option one. If you chose to face hunger rather than tigers and headed to the oasis, your option one is to follow the smoke in the mountains.

If you chose option two and faced the tiger, your option 1 is to go through the mountains. There is another tiger in the mountains so keep your wits about you. The mountains are very confusing but stay calm and don't forget to feed your herd.

The geyser option for both will bring you no harm but the threat of starvation, so make sure to eat up before you travel there.

If you head to the smoke at the top of the volcano nothing really dramatic happens. However, ash will start falling from the sky.

These are your last possible options, and I will save the final option that every path has for you to find. Now though, onto the lotus path!

If you pick the first option: Herons nest, you won't face any threat other than starvation, and although it is misty, you'll be fine.

If you chose to head through the misty mountains, it is quicker, and again there is no danger. Nothing to fear at the moment.

Both paths you chose before have the same options. The salt pillars from before which have the same options, but you have to take a different route to get there. Be careful of the crocs that lurk in the waters!

Both paths have crocs but the driftwood path has a shorter time with crocs and a longer time with travelling.

All the options from here on have paths you have already faced, however, for the smoking mountain the path you take to get there this time involves a tiger, so be careful!

Then of course there is the final option to end the game, which again, I will save for you :)
Good luck!

No. If I remember correctly, the adults can only die from starvation :pawscub1:

Crocs are kinda difficult to explain, so my bad lol. You can see where they are in the water and they will have a path they follow around islands in the middle of the water. You want to avoid coming close to these crocs and time when you cross to the next island. You do not want to go directly behind the crocs though, as they will just turn around. I would recommend the crocs being about 1/3 around the island from you before you cross, but if there are multiple crocs, you'll have to think more strategically. They won't attack you on land so don't worry about that. Just make sure you have eaten recently so you don't run out of hunger before you get across. Take note that the crocs only target babies, so if you lost all your babies, you can just trot on through. I would say crocs are honestly easier than tigers. Did I miss anything you would like to know? ^^

Great guide, but I find it confusing on how to deal with crocs, could you make it a bit more clear?
