If you hit a Fire Demon with an Ice Strike, a Troll with a Fire Strike, Corn Boss with a Lightning Strike, or a Slime with an Acid Strike, you'll deal 50-55 damage.

When you hit a cultist with an elemental weapon and get an elemental strike, the hit will do one damage, regardless of your strength stat.

Also, Morgan, Red Knight's splash attack is the only useful thing in the game derived from lightning. Red Knight's X X X Y combo and projectile have no inherent ability, nor does the effect on weapons. Did you Know that Scarabs, Fencers, and Stovefaces resist lightning? Those are literally the LAST three characters you'd want resisting your magic. Fire Demons also resist lightning somewhat, but not to the same degree. Cultists completely resist all elements, but that hits Red Knight especially hard, because he can't move while casting splash magic, and everything else has little or no effect.

Wait nevermind, it's kind of about characters, but C'thun told me originally it was going to be about weapon effects.
On a side note, Saracen and Bear can critical hit with their tornadoes, and Pink Knight with his stuffed animals. The tornadoes make sense with the damage being based off of your strength stat (most of the time,) but the stuffed animals puzzle me to this day.

Morgan, you dumbsack, this is about special weapon effects, not characters. Even if it was about characters, Red Knight really fucking sucks compared to characters like Fencer, Industrialist, Fire Denon, Iceskimo, Brute, Snakey, and Blue Knight. In fact, Blue Knight is the single best crowd controller in the game, and he sure as hell isn't as overrated as Red Knight. I'm willing to bet my life savings you haven't played as every character, let alone unlock every character. If that's true, then telling whether a character or their magic really isn't your place.

Ok, i'll add that

lightning is VERY EFFECTIVE against a lot of enemies with lots of mana and lots of magic dmg this is a VERY good thing to have.
