Beskrivning
This mod adds a 'Switch To' anti-air (AA) function for capital ships of all factions. Battleships can attack aircraft directly above them when in AA mode. The naval attack stats and movement range are reduced while in AA mode.

Update Note: This mod might need to be put on hold until the Pacific DLC Naval overhaul. Trying to balance battleships ranging from 10 to 60 overstrength is proving to be difficult. I'm always open to any suggestions though.

I've this mod now, and would like to remove it. Ive tried toggling it off in te PzC2 Mods menu, as well as unsubscribing, but AI naval units continue to switch to AA mode. It appears that the mod is permanently altering the AI or AA capability.
Any fix to this?

Hey Vathek1 and thanks for catching this. I did intend for them to attack ground targets, but did not intend for it to be that lethal. I'll make sure to re-test and update with reduced ground attack stats. They have the suppressing fire trait in AA mode to prevent outright kills, but I think the 1.5X fire rate is negating it.

The AI will switch to AA mode if you have a plane within striking distance.

As for the smaller boats, do you have any suggestions? I was hoping there would be more hero traits available for naval units, but I guess it's called Panzer Corps for a reason :)

Great work on this mod; it's a feature that should have been in the base game! However, I did notice one minor "bug" with it. Ships in AA mode can still attack ground targets, and they can do so with significantly increased accuracy. Whereas a Bismarck BB normally wouldn't do more to infantry than just kill one and suppress 4, in AA mode, that same BB will reliably kill three points of strength with each shot.

Having shore bombardment that actually kills things is pretty nice, but I'm not sure if that was working as intended (giving the ships much higher accuracy and lethality for ground attack in AA mode).

Any plans to revamp the smaller boats (e.g. S-boots/torpedo boats) and the like? Currently, they are almost useless in game except as targets for enemy ships to shoot at (instead of your actual capital ships). I'll also need to test how (or if) the AI actually makes uses of the switch to AA mode.
