Create a ZeroTier Account

The main tool this guide uses to accomplish it's intended purpose is ZeroTier. So of course you are going to need to create an account with it at it's website.[www.zerotier.com]

Using ZeroTier

This guide is a rework of the original from March 27th, and is work in progress, however there is an alternative guide that can walk you through thoroughly just as well as this could.

Notes

All players need to complete the setup steps in order to play, and be in your network, obviously.

Ranks and loadouts will work as intended. This makes no changes other than allowing you to play LAN over the internet.

After Ubisoft fixes the Online (Ha, good joke), this guide will become obsolete.

Be sure to disable Windows Firewall.

Make sure to turn off auto-assign IP address if you are hosting!!! this helped me and my buddy get it to work :)

I'm so happy, I was able to get this to work with two different friends. The second one had some issues (making both networks the same type, both public/private) but after he figured that out it was smooth sailing.

I was about to create another guide about the ZeroTier version... but here I am, not reading the entire thing.

It's in a rough draft phase, but I've tried to spread it as much as possible through the Vegas 2 discord server. The image you've used to connect to a ZeroTier server is severely outdated, as the owner no longer hosts it.
