Introduction
As always SCS released an introduction trailer for the new DLC and startet with #CruisingTexas an community event which is availeable until 8th january 2023:

When you bought the DLC you had the opportunity to get an Armadillo Plush, when you linked your Steam-Account with your World of Truck profile and drive to or from Austin an external contract. If you participate at the community event, you have to drive cargo from or to 15 cities in Texas to achive an new paint job - Horned Lizard - and after the community goal was reached, you received an Lone Star Longhorn ornament as a decoration for your cabine. The Armadillo is so present, because its the mascot of Texas!

Currently this guide is under construction!.
This guide is a part of my American Truck Simulator 100% Achievement Guide. When finished the guide will contain huge spoilers! If you want to figure it out by yourself: DON'T USE THIS GUIDE!

Avid Historian - Part 1
Avid Historian
Discover at least 30 historical markers in Texas

Some marker has a sign as a hint, but not all! And sometimes the historical markers dont appear:

So I make an alphabetic list with the names and the location and later an overview. Maybe SCS will add something like they have done for the cutscenes via photo mode with update 1.46. Because of the large amount of markers, I have to splitt it into three parts.

View cutscenes from at least 25 viewpoints in Texas

There are 30 cutscenes, but you only have to watch 25. You can check the photo mode and look for the cutscenes you already discoverd. Thats possible since update 1.46! So I think there is no list needed.
Cotton Bloom
Cotton Bloom
Complete 10 deliveries of at least one Cotton Lint, Cotton Seed and Cotton Harvester within Texas

It looks like it doesn't matter which company you choose, as long as its a delivery inside of Texas for one of the described cargoes - so only the seeds would count!

Important notice: For the Harvester you need the Heavy Cargo DLC!

Danke für deine ganzen Guides. Ich bin jetzt von Nebraska in der Zeit rückwärts gegangen und muss sagen, dass deine Guides gut waren, aber immer noch besser wurden.

For avid historian the map screenshots are really helpful.
However the sorting feels really arbitrary with markers in the same city spread across 2 or 3 parts.
Having markers grouped by city or road would've made gathering them much easier.

I found a way to quickly get the cotton bloom achievement. I used my flatbed to run 8 cotton lint jobs, then set my job distance to 50% and dropped my trailer off at my garage. The Cotton Harvester is on an articulated trailer, and I found a job for that within a few sleep cycles. The Cotton Seed can be in bulk trailers, and I found a job for that after one cycle of hosting a convoy. Start to finish was about three hours.
As a recap, owned flatbed for cotton lint, “borrowed” articulated for Cotton Harvester, and “borrowed” bulk trailer for Cotton Seed.

FARM AWAY: Be careful when using external jobs. If two of the same companies are close together, the external jobs will be from both companies. For example, you could deliver a job to one Lubbock farm, and some of the next external jobs available will be from the same company farm close by. Once you click 'begin delivery' on one of those, it will need picked up from the other close by farm and even when delivered IT WON'T COUNT TOWARDS THE ACHIEVEMENT.

The distance is different and you can sometimes drive full speed ahead and sometimes you have to slow down, because the trigger point is very close to the marker.
Witch Moon/Canondah 16 Mar @ 9:16am
So what's the deal with the historic markers? What counts as "visited"? How close do you need to be? Do you have to drive below a certain speed? Or come to a full stop? Do you have to point the camera at them? I drove along the 190 between Huntsville and Beaumont, where there are supposed to be four in a row, but only got two of them. Maybe because it was the middle of the night and I only really saw the two inside the town next to each other which were lit by the street lights (otherwise it seems to be a hopeless endeavour at night time) but I really wonder what exactly the conditions are for the achievement.
Xeeran  [author] 14 Mar @ 2:33pm
Yeah same company in Brownsville. Dunno why it shows the wrong picture.
Witch Moon/Canondah 14 Mar @ 2:27pm
Why does the Brownsville Tera show a Corpus Christi destination? I suppose it is the same company just located in Brownsville?
Xeeran  [author] 12 Jan @ 4:06am
Thanks. Looks like there is more wrong. I have to check it.
