Maya LT for Unity Dev: Skeleton Creation and Adjustment -- part 1
In this video, Wes shows how to create a character skeleton for use with Mecanim in Unity. He starts by showing how to create simple joints one at a time with mirroring functionality. Next, Wes shows how to use the automatic HumanIK skeleton generator in Maya LT and does a step by step walk-through of adjusting the skeleton, wrapping up with skin binding.

In this video, Wes picks up where he left off in part 1, and shows the process of painting skin weights to fine tune the influence of the skeleton. Wes walk through several of his preferred skin painting techniques, including painting by selection, using the paint weight hammer tool, and some manual adjustment techniques with a regular brush.
