The R8 is a pistol that replaces the Desert Deagle. At a lower cost of $600 and similar damage, it might seem like a decent sidegrade to the Deagle, but aha! You fool! It is the weirdest gun to use and is the second loudest thing after jehovah's witnesses at your door.
It has 8 bullets in the mag and 8 in reserve, so you don't get many chances.
It has two firing modes:
Primary fire is semi-auto and it has a delay before firing. It's primary firing speed is 85 RPM, so you can empty your mag in about 6 seconds. It also cuts your movement speed down to 180 while drawing.
It's secondary firing mode has a higher RPM of 150, but it is about as accurate as a pig with all it's limbs cut off and with it's eyes poked out, that is firing a cannon from London to China. So, objectively, you'll have problem hitting anyone at even close range because of the insane bullet spread.
It reloads for 2.3 seconds, so a pretty long time. It is available for both sides and has a $300 kill award. It has a really good armor penetration of 93.2%

The primary fire is the reliable one. No, really. Don't use secondary. It sucks donkey ass. It shoots after drawing the hammer for 0.2 seconds and has an accurate range of 25 m. How much that is in cs? Who knows. I don't. While charging it up, your movement speed goes from 220 to 180. The thing is, as the hammer ♥♥♥♥♥ back, it makes a sound. If you hear crickets in your ear, then that's not crickets. That's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gun. Back to the point, it's not good for steath. If you don't charge it up fully, the hammer returns and you don't fire.

Okay, this firing mode is on right click and uses the fanning technique. You fire much faster, shed the charge up time, but won't be able to hit the broad side of a barn because it just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks.

In my opinion, if you want to play seriously, use the Deagle. I'm not saying that you can't use it well and if you gave it enough time, you could use it well, but still. It's still great fun to use and a great weapon for meming.
