I never knew it was there, and I always run right by it on my way to White Ridge Barrow for a Black Book I love having.

I've not been back but I think it was a double silver vein. Next time a PC is up that way I'll check it out again, and this time not get PC killed twice trying to find it.

Even such a trifle as silver ore vein still pleases, because you found something new in the game that you have been playing for 10 years. I personally have not played Skyrim for all 10 years, but I played on the release and periodically returned to the game, and now I have a small channel where I post harmless videos.

If you still have some potentially interesting places, you can share here in the comments, or add me as a friend, if you want of course :)

I'm one of those 'must go everywhere, including places I shouldn't go' type of person. I live in hope that the devs place little easter eggs and fun items in very strange places. Notched pickaxe was a hoot and I only found it because I wanted a screenshot declaring 'Top o' tha world, Ma, I'm on top o' tha world'. On first playthrough of any area I search every nook, cranny, corner and stretch behind every coffin etc in the hope of something. And I'm often surprised. And I'm sure I was a mountain goat in a previous lifetime because I'm always clawing my way up cliff faces. Just the other day I discovered a silver ore vein on the cliff facing the island with Yngild or whatever it is. And that's after ten years of playing this game...
