Beskrivelse
Arcadia’s Railroad

In 1881, Henry Starke began construction on a narrow-gauge railway to carry logs to early Arcadia, Michigan. In 1893, he began construction of a standard gauge railroad that would eventually reach Copemish 21 miles away at the end of 1896.

Copemish
By December of 1896, the A&BRR reached Copemish, where it connected with the Ann Arbor Railroad. At that point, passenger service was added, and the A&BRR might have interchanged with the Bear Lake & Eastern Railroad at Springdale between Henry and Copemish.

The Michigan village of Copemish lies in Manistee County, 30 miles southwest of Traverse City. In the 1700's and 1800's it had been used as a site to hold council for the Ojibwe tribe. Eventually, a town was platted in 1889 and incorporated in 1891 as "Copemish," a Native American term meaning "beech tree."

In 1900, the population was 429.

In 2000, it was down to 232.

Part 3 of the ABRR Dioramas is A&BBR's second major destination, Copemish. This is where the furniture made in Arcadia (post 1906, before that just lumber) was connected to be sold to the rest of the world. Note the horizontal streets are all tree names and lined with the corresponding trees. The part of the Ann Arbor Railroad is played by Dark Derby's beautiful EP&E livery - huge thanks for permission to do this!

Most notably 16 different buildings and a lot of different details have been ported into game. You can check out the Historic Building Pack here: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2422788135

Added another Model T to the list: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2421900213

Just want to say this is my favorite part of the 4 - if you only open one of these dioramas, make it this one! :RLSantaFe:
