Basically what you want is for sure a mage who uses a fire and an earth magic. Dude like this will be extremely helpful for you and will make huge area damage.
As you can see I've put 1 point for Bartering, because this is the character we want to use while trading. I've changed that nasty oil spell for a spider summon. Spider will be useful at the beggining, and the oil spell can be bought/stolen at Cyseal, so not long after the start of the game.
I gave him also the "Far Out Man" talent for increased range of spells and the most important for a safe gameplay-> the "Escapist" talent. More about it later.

Next I'll introduce you to this gal. This is the character who will control enemies minds with Witchcraft (the skill "Manipulation" from this is super useful), you can use her to avoid traps, hunt treasures, secrets and get loot, also she will be used for stealing.
You need just one point in Scoundrel to have this Invisibility skill. With this you can get all the thing you want and position well before the battles. I'll tell you more about it in the other section.

After you beat the first Outer Cyseal and get to the city, you need to go to the King Crab Tavern and invite Madora to the party. She will be your powerful front line. With the fire and earth guy you can buff her armor and the Witchcraft gal can increase her(or any other party member) damage by 40%.

The last member of this group will be either Jahan or Bairdotr. Jahan has Water and Air damage, He was useful in the first "act" of the game (Cyseal and Outer Cyseal), but after travelling to Luculla Forest I've switched him to Bairdotr, as she can use powerful arrows which I found and stole so many throughout the game. Remember that Companions who are not with you in the party will get your experience (which you gained without them) when you invite them back.
Jahan can be found upstairs in the Town Hall building and Bairdotr can be found in the cage guarded by two legionnaires next to the Legion Headquaters.
Make yourself rich, thief
Basically what you need to do is lvl up the Pickpocket skill at least to 2, equip some clothes like boots, bracers, rings, amulets or something that will increase this skill and I ASSURE YOU, you will get a lot of that stuff from drops after battles or from merchants. Remember not to sell those clothes and have them to switch with your battle clothes whenever you feel like stealing. The invisibility spell will help you stealing from crowded areas, but this doesnt always work and it have quite a long cooldown. The chance for Invisibility to work depends on Dexterity (I have only 5 points in it and 70% chance to inflict Invisibility). You can steal from some dudes simply talking with people around with 3 members of your party and the last one will get to steal.
The earth/fire mage which I meantioned in section before is the character for trading. Seemingly for gal, he needs clothers that will increase his Bartering skill. You can spent 3 perks to get him to lv 2 Bartering, so with the gear on he will have 5 lvl at least. It will make him rich fast.

This is how much you can steal with lvl 8 Pickpocket from one person:
Remember -> always steal money, steal something else only when people doesn't have any gold in their pocket.

If you don't want to make one of your main character a thief as I did with a Witchcraft gal you can level up Pickpocket on Wolgraff and use im only for a steal run around the city then switch him for another companion. I found Wolgraff kinda useless for anything else so you can spend all points on him for a things like that I guess.

I've stolen more than 30k gold and im not done with the Luculla Forest, so I am maybe in the middle of the game.
Wanna be sure to make out alive from every battle, you skittish chicken?
The key for survival is the "Escapist" talent. It allows you to flee from battle even with enemies really close. You can flee for example with that one, dying character to the Cyseal's Nothern Gate, nearby you can find a bed in the tent (with that annoying legionnair who can't find her pepper), restore health and teleport back to the combat using Pyramid.

Pyramids are very powerful especially when you want to prepare for a boss fight. With Invisibility and "Fast Track"(it makes you run really fast for a short period of time) you can throw pyramids to the core points of combat, like orbs which must be destroyed to make boss vulnerable for magic damage etc.
Let's take an example of Braccus Rex fight.
When you talk to Braccus Rex you will enter the combat with him and the 3 minibosses -> Skeleton, Slime and Fiery Twins. You can drop pyramid on the other side of the map for one of your party member so he can distract and fight that miniboss and after defeating him destroy some of that shield orbs Braccus spawns.
