Card Combos
Card combos are where you can place certain cards together or remove a card from an existing pair to get a new result.

Hungry Grove

  • Put a blood grove next to a grove then use oblivion to remove the grove.

Blood Path


  • Place 2 battlefields within each others radius. Thanks for the correction DarkXuin.

Blooming Meadow


  • A normal meadow generates 2HP at the beginning of each day. A blooming grove generates 3HP. To make it bloom place it next to any other card other than another meadow.

Goblin Camp


  • A goblin camp will spawn as soon as you place your 10th stone tile.

Overgrown Field


  • Place a village then wheat fields beside it then destroy the village

Goblin Lookout


  • Place a swamp in front of a goblin camp

Ransacked Village


  • Place a vampire mansion next to a village
  • This spawns up to 4 ghouls per loop
  • After 3 loops it will upgrade to counts lands which heals 15+5*loop when entered.

Shipwreck


  • Place a battlefield next to a river.
  • Spawns a siren and chest each loop. Chest apparently cant be a mimic. Thanks Phishfood
  • Enemies on surrounding tiles might become a ghost
Resource Guide
Mountain Peak

  • Placing 3 by 3 rocks or mountains (or a combination of the 2) will create mountain peak. Thanks for being onto it cowbell and GameOn
  • Gives a +48%HP bonus and an additional 2% for each rock or mountain placed around it
  • Every 2 days will spawn a harpy that will randomly fly onto the path
  • Since the mountain can only only be build once per run, Thanks Sekraan for the cheeky secret of blowing the mountain up to rebuild for the extra Metamorphosis. It only needs the one rock/mountain destroyed then returned for another drop of Metamorphosis. If you blow up in such a way a new mountain can be formed it will automatically do it. No additional HP boost though.

Treasury

  • Each rock, mountain or meadow will give a random item.
  • Once the treasury is surrounded it will give a large amount of random items.

Empty Treasury

  • Worth noting, now that the treasury is empty it will spawn a gargoyle every 3 days.
  • Can be destroyed

  • Stable branches are dropped in the groves and forest. You need 12 to get 1 stable wood.

  • Passing through cemeteries, placing rocks and mountains drops pebbles. You need 10 pebbles to get one preserved rock. Making a mountain peak drops lots of pebbles.

  • So far the best way to get scrap metal I have found is to fill your inventory until they fall off the end. Turns into 1 scrap metal which will turn into stable metal when you have 13.

  • You need 12 rations to get a 1 food supply. Food supply drop when you put down meadows and fighting on battlefields. Its encyclopedia entry says "Treasury" Card. I believe this means it drops when you surround it in other tiles. I'll update this one next time I check.

  • To have a chance at finding a Orb of Expansion there needs to be at least 4 monsters in the same fight. More than 4 increases the drop change. The easiest way I have found so far is to put a village near the campfire and place a Vampire Mansion next to it. Having a few watch towers makes this very easy and you can do it on both sides of the camp fire.

  • Beat the chapter boss.
  • I finally did it! See newly added boss section for hints on defeating the boss.


  • Cards that burn off by filling your bar turn into memory fragments. Every 10 memory fragments turn into a Book of Memories.

  • You need 20 noticeable change to get 1 Metamorphosis. Noticeable change is earned by placing tiles together that give a different than normal result. For example putting a meadow next to a rock to get blooming meadow.

  • Once you defeat Lich you can enter Expedition 2. Orb of Crafts can only be found in the second expedition.
  • Collected from enemies that are "Undead" or "Vampire". Click on the enemy to find out what they are. For example Vampires and their minions.
  • 10 Pitiful Remains turns into Orb of Afterlife.

  • Once you defeat Lich you can enter Expedition 2. Astrial Orb can only be found in the second expedition.
  • Collected from enemies that are "Mage" or "Cosmic" such as Dark slimes. Thanks Sekraan for the following advice. Destroy a Goblin or Bandit camp while the mob hasn't fully moved off the tile onto the road. When you land on that spot there should be a Dark Slime.


  • Once you defeat Lich you can enter Expedition 2. Orb of Crafts can only be found in the second expedition.
  • Collected from enemies that are "Artificial" or "Object". Click on the enemy to find out what they are. For example chests.
  • 10 Craft Fragments turns into Orb of Crafts.

  • Can only be found in the second expedition.
  • Collected from enemies that are "Living" or "Plant". Click on the enemy to find out what they are. Can be collected from humans such as bandits.
  • 10 Living Fabric turns into Orb of Evolution.

  • Can only be found in the second expedition.
  • Collected from enemies that are "Liquid" or "Swarm". Click on the enemy to find out what they are. Can be collected from slimes.
  • 10 Shapeless Mass turns into Orb of Unity.

Before you sacrifice your findings to the first boss there are a few things you should try to make it easier.
  • Level up your herbalist hut to a healers hut. Its the first upgrade.
  • Build a few mud huts so you can allocate more supplies.
  • Allocate a few alchemist's shelfs for extra potions.
  • Note that the watchtowers do not back you up.

Fighting Lich
  • The bar that is slowly filling below the day cycle bar is the boss bar. Placing cards will slowly fill the bar. Using oblivion will also decrease the bar.
  • When the boss spawns he will also spawn his house. If you destroy the house or place objects where they would spawn when you fight Lich he will have less health and deal less damage.
  • If possible focus on having either evasion or vampirism. The Lich attacks slow so you can either replenish your health between attacks or rely on luck and dodge his attacks.

The Village..? spawned by the forest and thicket cards will make overgrown wheat fields if you place wheat beside it.

a ruined booky spawns books, if their field over laps with watchers or a vampire manshion they change the monster

I beat the first boss by stacking tons of magic damage, since it seemed effective against the skeletons which were also undead.

placing a battlefield next to a river turns it in to a shipwreck. No mimic chests, spawns a siren once per loop.

In the spaces where an abandoned bookery overlaps with a vampire mansion will get you vampire mages.

@Navi [Dying Spree] you can place the outposts beside your campfire and the npcs that help will be there, unless you're a certain class, then you get a face full of arrows

If you're updating this for the Release, Overgrown Fields will spawn if you place a Wheat Field next to a "Village." Not a Village. A "Village." You don't even need to delete the "Village" afterwards.
