I like making this game, but I do find it to be quite taxing on my mental state.
Being the only programmer, artist, writer, composer, and designer can really take its toll.

I'm trying to think of a working title for the game. All you do so far is take a journey to the north, and not much else.

There was a fly on the wall today.
It wouldn't leave me alone.
I've been working for 26 hours straight, and yet the fly still stays.
It stares.
I can tell it's mocking me.
It hasn't moved in 2 hours.
I can't take my mind off of it.
I can't work.
I must kill it.
I won't work until I kill it.
Finally.
I smacked it so hard that it's innards must have spanned a foot on the wall.
I couldn't stop hitting it.
It was already dead, but the rush...it felt good.

Today I handed out some candy to the local kids who stopped by. I have way too many leftover now!
So many cool costumes tonight. It really got me thinking of some ideas when I got back to the workstation.
You should have noticed I modeled you after your favorite Halloween costume!
I've got that picture hung up above my desk, and I will cherish it forever.

Today I stopped going.
Not just because I can't afford it anymore, but because I want to spend more time enjoying life and doing things that I love to do.
I think I might take up poetry. I've always loved to write, and I think I can do a great job of expressing my feelings in a clever rhyme scheme!
Come to think of it, I own a few books and even some literary journals on poetry and short stories.
One of my personal favorites is The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost.
Another was about a man who spent his life behind bars for doing some terrible things.
It was grim, but the ballads undoubtedly resonated with me. I can't remember what it was called, but I think it was an elegy.
I'll be sure to update you.

It's always good to keep extra 3 1/2 inch floppy disks around!
You never know what could happen, but they're extremely reliable.
Years from now I'm sure you'll be using the latest and greatest for computer storage, but these bad boys can hold up to 512 KB!
That's insane! I have a few of these laying around here somewhere with prototype versions of the game and even another game I was working on called Numbly.
This game will correctly guess your own birthday!
Not very exciting yet, but one day I hope to release it.

I wasn't too sure what to do with the shovel for the longest time, but I think "secret finding" is perfect!
This will be my way of showing you my world and helping you understand how I think.
For example, this hub area is made to feel like home.
A warm, placid, and welcoming area where you can just come to forget about the world.
Just like old times, right?
I hope you like the house I made for you as well. It probably looks quite familiar too!

It's such an interesting concept to dive into, and that's exactly what I have been doing for the past 4 days.
I'm smart and extremely talented, but I lack empathy and, I guess, "a personality people want to be around."

Goodness, today was such a beautiful day.
I ended up getting absolutely nothing accomplished, but I sat out on the deck all afternoon taking in the warm rays of the sun.
I may have gotten burnt, but it was worth it!
I spend too much time inside by myself anyways. It was nice to enjoy nature for once.

I bought a new fishing pole the other day, and I plan to use it in the old lake!
My old pole was missing some guides, and the reel was in dire need of some love and care that I could not provide.
I'm going to try to catch a trout, and if I'm lucky, a large mouth bass!
That used to be our favorite, but I know how beautiful bluegill can be, so I can't judge you.

During the text adventure, be sure to enter the Shed before the light turns on. There will be a THING and a SURPRISE. When you take the SURPRISE, a number will be carved into your arm. At the pond, use the FISHING POLE twice. The second time, you will get a HAND. While unlocking the DOOR at the House, the hand will give you a MAP revealing the Hidden Chamber behind the House. Go to the CHAMBER and enter the code in the Keypad.

Timmy Quick is safe. I know you didn't want to leave without him, but now that just means you can spend more time with me!

Go behind the buildings in the north of Friendville and find a path that leads to a Secret Boss. The Document is to the left.

There were many things on my shopping list that I grabbed at the store earlier.
I was in dire need of milk and eggs for breakfast, and some frozen meals for dinner.
I found a new one I haven't tried before, and I'm so excited!
It has meatloaf and pudding in it, which is quite the interesting platter combination if you ask me!
They were out of strawberry popsicles sadly.
I also had time to run to our favorite video rental store, Barnaby's, to grab some movies.
I got some old classics as well as a new horror movie that I am dying to watch.
I had a few extra dollars on me, so I went to the clearance bin and found a cheap game for the computer that I'm also going to try out later.
It's about friendship, just what I need right now haha!
