This random pattern shows a school of fishes swimming together in synchrony.
They are turning, twisting and forming seeping, glinting shapes in the water. They probably do this to confuse predators and save energy by using the slipstreams of other fish.
Every drop is unique and some positions will even show a rare squid or a rare jellyfish swimming between the fishes!



The fish drawing style is very graphic. It is a simple shape without fins, eye or mouth. I made this choice because the pattern has neither top nor bottom (the random positions can rotate 360 degrees). I added lines going from the head to the tail of the fish in order to create movement and speed. There are about 1500 fishes swimming together. I created perspective by playing with the fishes size. I added bubbles, some blurred, to create depth. In the background, I drew the flow and the sunlight for more depth.
