Here's where to find the BStone Source Port:
BStone Source Port Download [github.com]

If you're using Windows 32-Bit Versions, download the 32-Bit Versions.
If you're using Windows 64-Bit Versions, download the 64-Bit Versions.

After downloading either files, go into the directory where Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold is installed and create a new folder called "BStone Win", then extract the BStone Source Port files into that folder.

= Allows to customize control bindings
= Separate volume control of sound effects and music

Supported games for BStone Source Port:
= Aliens Of Gold (v1.0/v2.0/v2.1/v3.0) full or shareware
= Planet Strike (v1.0/v1.1)

Copy these files from the Shareware version into the BStone Win Folder. You can obtain the Shareware version from sites like the RGB Classics. Make sure to install the game using DosBox before copying the files.

Copy these files from the Registered Version into the BStone Win Folder. You can buy the Registered Version on Steam:
Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold - Steam Store
If you have the Registered Version on CD-ROM, be sure to install the game first using DosBox before copying the files.

The port auto-detect assets of some digital distribution services. Note that option --data_dir disables auto-detection.

Once installed, you will need to add the BS Source Port as a Non-Steam Game into steam

I added the SVSWAP.BS6 & CONFIG.BS6 Files mentioned for the game data into the guide. I may have miscounted the required files. When I ran the BSTONE Source Port. It worked well. Got the Red Key on the First Level on Episode 1 and ended Stage 1-1 with a C Rank. Sadly, I almost died to a Plasma Sphere on the First Level.

I'll see about checking what Files I missed to get the source port working. One more thing I forgot to mention is that if the BS1, BS6 and VSI Files are present being Blake Stone and Planet Strike in the same folder as the BSTONE Windows Source Port, a Game Select will be shown and you can choose to play Blake Stone Aliens of Gold (Shareware or Registered) or Planet Strike.

Not anymore on the full screen option; they took it out.

The Source Port has Windowed and Full Screen in the Options Menu and the option to turn off the Apogee Logo upon launch.

Okay so update. I installed an older version of the port and it works fine. I did it with a fresh install of Blake Stone and instead of putting the .exe in a separate directory I put it straight in the original folder with the main game. I've tried this with the newest version of the port but for some reason it seems to be a problem only with the newest version.

Nope. As soon as I select either the shareware or registered version I get that error. I see the icon pop up for a second in my taskbar but then it crashes with the error. I never see any actual window though.

Yeah I put the files for both versions in the BStone Win folder and the launcher does show up but no matter which version I choose I get that error :/
