Nioh 2
Nioh 2 has 88 achievements including the DLC's. In this guide, I will help you get through these to achieve 100% completion and unlock the 'You Are Nioh' achievement. The game consists of 7 regions which you will have to complete in order to unlock all trophies + 3 more regions as DLC. I will not go in depth with achievements that automatically unlocks upon completing the campaign or achievements you likely will complete in the process of completing the campaign.

THIS GUIDE CONTAINS SPOILERS

Campaign related achievements
Several achievements automatically unlocks upon completing the campaign including: Dawn of Dream, An electrifying Triumph, Hideyoshi, The Paths We Tread, Dream's Toll, Mother and Child, What is Written, Dream Within a Dream.

Besides the listed achievements above, there are other achievements that you can unlock during main missions:

Grazer Eraser & Bold Wrangler
In the very first main mission you will encounter Gozuki as the first big test of your game. Defeat it and then proceed to defeat the boss (Mazuki). It might be a tough fight if you are level 1, but you can always come back to this later. Once you learn the attack patterns, it will be easy.

Devout Believer
In 'The Viper's Sanctum' you can break 3 snake statues resulting in an easier boss fight (no poison pools). DO NOT break the statues. Complete the boss fight without breaking the Shirohami statues and the achievement is completed. This is something you easily can do later on, if you find the boss fight difficult with the poison pools.

Feather Buster
In the main mission 'A Way Out' there are 2 red orbs located in the searchlight areas. Destroy both and you will unlock the Feather Buster achievement. You will come across both on the path to the boss.

Schemer
When fighting Gyuki in 'Pervading Waters' when you drop down from the wall into the boss area you instantly should go backwards and let Gyuki charge into the dam behind you and the Schemer achievement should be completed. It works even though you should die from Gyuki's charge attack.

Hidden Hopes
In 'The Frenzied Blaze' there are located 3 Usura-Hicho. All you have to do is press 'touch' to all three of them. Usura-Hicho are located the following three places:
1. First Dark Realm you encounter
2. When you are at the second shrine, follow the path (do not enter the building) Usura-Hicho are behind a wall guarded by the Onmyo mage
3. The Dark Realm area just before the boss fight

Peal of Ten Thousand Bells
Rang all the bells in "Ruin Draws Near".
There is a total of 6 bells. You need to hit them with a strong attack (triangle or Y on controller). Locations of the bells are listed below:

1. First dark realm
2. Second dark realm
3. In the basement (backtrack from the second dark realm and you should be able to find it)
4. In the basement too

You should be able to find the first 4 bells before fighting Maeda Toshiie

5. Same floor as the third shrine
6. Go to the ground floor from the third shrine

Clean Sweep
In "The High-spirited Demon" there are 6 crystals (amrita shards) you have to destroy. You should be able to find and destroy 3 of them before reaching the second shrine.
1. on the cliff right next to the first shrine. You can't miss it.
2. Take the left path, the crystal is located in the same area as the Kamaitachi.
3. Is located in the first dark realm you encounter.

If you have not destroyed 3 crystals before the second shrine, go back and explore.

4. When you have destroyed the first 3, go the door on the right side when you enter the battle field (the point where Daidara Bocchi starts shooting the yellow beams at you), follow the path until you are standing on the roof of the building, look down and the 4th crystal is located.
5. is located in the third dark realm. You get there when you cross the trunk. When you dropped down and destroyed crystal number 4, you basically just need to run straight until you find the fifth crystal.
6. The last crystal is located on the path to the boss. At one point a boulder is rolling towards you and crushes a wall - it is the last boulder before the boss fight. The last crystal is located just behind that wall (there is a Kodama hiding there too).

Seven Wonders
Defeat all of The Seven Spears. They are not hard to find if you make sure to explore the level.

Easy achievements, you will complete during the campaign
Core Score
Chance of drop when killing an enemy

Spa Healer
You will have to find 27 in total. This achievement unlocks when you find one. The first possible to find is in the 'The Beast Born of Smoke and Flames' level.

The Beggining of a Samurai

Full Fledged Samurai

Sudama Swapper
When you see a Sudama, go to your items or equipment and drop an item/soul core as a gift for the Sudama. In return, the Sudama will drop you items or a soul core.

Trinket Triumph
Go to the shrine --> make offering --> Kodama Bazaar

A Weapon's Mind
Your weapon must have 999 in familiarity and have the imbue corruption stat. When using the weapon, the sentience gauge must fill up 5 times. You will find plenty during completion of the campaign.

Help Wanted
You can summon an Acolyte for the cost of Ochoko cups. You can get Ochoko cups for beating revenants or buy them in the Kodama-bazaar.

Lover of Letters
When the Hidden Teahouse is unlocked, go there, buy a hanging scroll text for the cost of 1000 glory (get glory by beating revenants). Then go to Starting Point --> Hut --> Remodel Hut --> Hanging Scrolls --> Calligraphy and select the one you just bought in the Hidden Teahouse.

Friend of Guardians
Complete all main and side missions. One side mission (Master of the Three Evils) unlocks when you have 120k proficiency with the dual swords, so make sure you have done that! When you have completed that you get the Itokuri Guardian spirit.

Easy achievements that you might not have completed
Burst Breaker
Find an enemy that you easily can counter burst, switch between Brute, Feral and Phantom and burst break 5 times each. You can do it in the very first main mission against Gozuki or whenever you like during your playthrough.

Latest Masterpiece
Go to starting point --> Blacksmith --> Forge

Match Made in Heaven
Go to starting point --> Blacksmith --> soul match

Friend to the Kodama
You want to find a Sudama, offer a soul core and chances are that the Sudama will drop you a Kodama Soul Core. Every time you see a Sudama, offer a soul core until you get the Kodama soul core in return.

Remodeling Novice
Go to starting point --> Blacksmith --> remodel (unlocks a bit later than the other 2 mentioned above).

Twilight Walker
Twilight missions should be available early on. You will however have to complete a couple of main missions first. Twilight missions can be found in the bottom left corner of the map.

Teamwork
Go to the starting point --> Torii Gate --> complete 10 missions
You can either chose 'Expeditions' or 'Random Encounters'

Seasoned traveler
This trophy can be obtained when reaching region 2 - Soaring. In each region, you will be able to find hidden trasures on the map. There should be 35 in all, meaning 5 in each region. This achievement only requires 10. Move the cursor around in each region until it is red, you should be able to find these! Below are pictures of the 10 first hidden treasures in region 1, Awakening & 2, Soaring:

Awakening

Soaring

Yokai Quelling Master
If you have completed the campaign, you have probably already completed this. If not, you can press the touch pad (controller), go to titles, gameplay record, small yokai's defeated and see what you are missing. The large Yokais should be done when you finish the campaign.

Fuse It or Lose It
Go to the shrine, select 'manage soul cores' --> Soul Fusion. Keep doing the soul fusion until it's rank 9
Weapon achievements
To acquire the mystic art for any given weapon, you basically have to play and deal a certain amount of damage with each weapon (120,000 proficiency), 250,000 magic and 200,000 ninjutsu. If it is your first playthrough and you're sticking to one weapon, fine. However, once you have obtained mystic art for a weapon, I suggest you use a new weapon. In that way you will get mystic art for the different weapons much quicker! In general, use ninjutsu and omnyo magic whenever you can (Helpful in any boss fights). You will have to acquire mystic art for 11 weapons, magic and ninjutsu and these are probably the most time consuming achievements to unlock. When you have enough proficiency, go to the dojo and complete the mission that unlocks mystic art for the given weapon.

Dual Swords, Spear, Sword, Odachi, Axe, Kusarigama, Switchglaive, Splitstaff (Tengu's Disciple), Tonfa, Hatchet, Omnyo Magic, Ninjutsu, Fists (Darkness in the Capital)

Farm the weapon proficiency wherever you comfortably can kill enemies/bosses. If you have any good farming routes, you can leave it in the comments and help out other players! I recommend the main mission; 'The High-spirited Demon'. Otherwise, when you reach Dream of the strong/Demon/Wise/Nioh difficulties the weapon proficiency can reach 120k in one or two missions.
Difficult Achievements
Soul Searcher
You will get most of these by completing the campagin. However, there might be some enemies you need to defeat again to get the soul core. You can increase the drop rate of soul cores by going to the shrine --> make offering --> receive Kodama blessing and then select Yamabushi blessing. You can also increase chances of soul core drops by using Agyo prestige points or activate certain guardian spirits such as Shirohami. You can see which Soul cores you already are in possession of and which you had earlier if you are going to the shrine --> soul match --> go to the screen where you can select a soul --> filter --> Item name. The souls you already have are written in white, those you had are grey.

Below are the full list of souls, so you can see which you are missing. I marked the souls with rare drop rate with bold text:

Gozuki, Nurikabe, Namahage, Yatsu-no-Kami, Enki, Yoki, Gyuki, Kasha, Ryomen Sakuna, Kamaitachi, Ippon-Dotara, Tatarimokke, Mezuki, One-Eyed Oni, Waira, Gaki, Infernal / Maelstrom / Thunderstorm Oni-Bi, Wheelmonk, Enenra, Koroka, Nure-Onna, Karakasa Umbrella, Toxic Slime, Flying Bolt, Tesso, Mitsume Yazura, Ubume, Kappa, Mujina, Biwa Boku-boku, Onyudo, Magatsu Warrior, Rokurokubi, Onryoki, Daidara Bocchi, Shuten Doji, Lady Osakabe, Otakemaru, kodama, Scampuss, Yamanba, Aberrant Soldier, Lesser Umi-Bozu, Skeleton Warrior, Dweller, Karasu Tengu, Brute/Feral and Phantom mortal soul core.

Where to farm the rare soul cores:

Infernal / Maelstrom / Thunderstorm Oni-Bi: Adbuction (side mission in the Dawn region)

Karakasa Umbrella: The Mysterious One Night Castle (main mission in the Soaring region) or An Error in Calculation (side mission in the Soaring region).

Scampuss: Dark Omens (side mission in the Awakening region) or Stray Cats (side mission in the Twilight region). You can also use a Clay of Bell Reckoning to spawn a Scampuss in any mission you would like.

Kodama: Offer an soul core to a Sudama.

Toxic Slime: Hidetatsu's Dying Wish (side mission in the Soaring region)

Lesser Umi-Bozu: Stray Cats (side mission in the Twilight region)

Let there be light
Make sure you are exploring every main mission map and this will be completed as you complete the campaign. However, there is a way to see if you are missing any dark realms: Select the mission and press r1/rb button if you are using controller. It will show how many collectibles and dark realms you have found. This also works for hot springs, if you can not remember which of these you have bathed in.

Kodama Leader
To make this easier, some items have Kodama sensor effect showing the locations on the map. I suggest you keep an item equiped that have the Kodama sensor. Otherwise, there are lots of guides on YouTube that show the exact location of every Kodama - surreal also created a fantastic guide here on steam you can use. You have to find 150 Kodama in total. Another option is to use the Tengen Kujaku guardian spirit which has kodama sensor.

Spa Lover
Again, explore every map. There is a total of 27 hot springs in Nioh 2. If you are still missing some, I will list the amount of hot spring in every map below:

The Beast Born of Smoke and Flames: 1 (Located just before you enter the boss fight, remove yokai wall)

The Viper's Sanctum: 1 (Before reaching the poison pools, there is a side cave)

The Hidden Monsters of Okehazama: 1 (Yokai Wall, before entering the cave by the 2nd shrine)
The Mysterious One Night Castle: 2 (Just before crossing the wooden bridge) & (When you are going from the first shrine to the boss, you can't miss it).

The Hollow Fortress: 2 (Behind the Yokai Wall near the second shrine), (Behind Yokai wall, the level under the boss fight area).

A Way Out: 1 hot spring: 1 (second searchlight area, run past (or kill) the cyclop)

Corpses and Ice: 1 (Behind the Yokai wall just before the boss fight)
Bird In A cage: 1 (You'll automatically find this, when you're hunting for Kodamas)

Pervading Waters: 1 (Behind a 'secret' wall, after reaching third shrine)

Song of the Yokai: 7 (6 of the the hot springs are placed in the bath house. 4 on the same floor as you are spawning, 2 on the floor above. You can not miss the last one when you're completing the mission)

The Frenzied Blaze: 1 (When you reach the third shrine, stick to the left side until you find the hot spring)

The Sun Sets On Mount Tenno: 1 (destroy the crystals before the boss fight, when destroyed drop down)

Ruin Draws Near: 1: (By the second shrine, move down stairs, located with 2 bells)

The Two Faces of Hospitality: 1 (Go to the house on the right in the beginning of the mission)

A Message From The Deceased: 1 (Look in the cave where the only dark realm in the level is)
The High-spirited Demon: 1 (the hot spring is located in the exact same house as the fourth crystal - read the part from clean sweep if you don't know what the fourth crystal is).

The Mausoleum of Evil: 1 (Turn the bridges, track back to second shrine, drop to the floor below)

The Golden Castle: 1 (Behind Yokai Wall, halfway up wooden the stairs)

Cherry Blossom Viewing in Daigo: 1 (Before going into the boss fight, turn back to third shrine and voilá)

Total of 27
Tea Connoisseur achievement
Tea Connoisseur
Go to starting point --> Hidden Teahouse (unlocks at some point in the 3rd region, Shadow).
Tea Utensils has a low drop rate, but can be obtained during completion of the campaign.
One way to get tea utensils is to become member of a clan (the one that increase tea utensils drop rate). You can choose a clan when you unlock the Hidden Teahouse. You can also farm them by killing William in "The Blue-eyed Samurai" as the drop rate is much higher here than other places.
Dungball roller
Dungball roller
Ryunojo can be found in "Bird In A Cage". I recommend that you have farmed Dungballs at this point or even better; Noble dungball (counts for 2). Dungballs can be found as loot from corpses or by killing Tesso (see picture below). You will need somewhere between 20-40 dungballs to complete this achievement.

Tesso can be found in the following main missions:
Bird In A Cage
Pervading Waters
Ruin Draws Near
In The Eye of the Beholder

Or in the following side missions:
The Golden Nation
The Warrior
Okuni's Search
Song of the Yokai
The Aberrant Mage
Stray Cats
Restless Spirits
Scattered Fragments
Calling on the Fire God
The Tengu's Discible (DLC)

story related achievements
A Kindred Light
The Will to Fight
Casting Out the Shadows

The 3 achievements above should be unlocked when you are completing the levels of this DLC.

Other achievements
Poetry in Motion
You will have to find 3 poetry cards. All 3 of them can be found as loot from corpses:

1. is located in the main mission "A Song to Calm the Storm". Before the first boss fight, go to the camp (exact same place as you fight the big Bakegani that are hiding in the sand).

2. Is located in the main mission 'Eternal Rivals'. Before you reach the last shrine, you will encounter Mezuki. Kill Mezuki and loot the corpse in the same area as you were fighting Mezuki. Mezuki is guarding the corpse when you reach the area. If not, look to the left side. It is hard to miss.

3. Is located in the sub mission "Shadows Creep in Kurama". Before reaching the last shrine, there is a ladder you can climb - stick to the left side and you should be able to collect the third poetry card (it is placed in the house right next to the Yokai cloud).

Sundering Arrows
In the first main mission of the DLC, there are a total of 3 giant bows you have to use in order to complete this achievement. You have to find the first 2 before fighting Benkei (go to the top floor on the different ships and you should easily be able to find the first two. The last one is just after the shrine when you have beaten Benkei in the same area as the first dark realm you encounter after the Benkei fight.

Heretical Glow
While you are in the mine area, there are lots of Amirta shards placed around. You will probably complete this achievement unintentionally. If not, make sure to stay in the mine area and destroy them before leaving. There will not be any amrita shards after you leave the mine.

Tengu Crusher
When Yoshitsune is standing on one of the perches, take out your rifle or hand canon and shoot him.

Demonic Parade-Goer
The picture scroll missions will drop when you play. If you are having trouble finding them, you can get one guaranteed when summoning a revenant grave (the one that are red and white) and kill the revenant.

Collectible achievements
Kodama General
There are a total of 25 Kodama in this DLC.
10 located in the main mission 'A Song to Calm the Storm'.
6 located in the sub mission 'Shadows Creep in Kurama'.
9 located in the main mission 'Eternal Rivals'.
Again, I suggest to have a piece of gear equipped with Kodama sensor. It will make it easier to find the Kodoma!

Spa Addict
There are a total of 3 hot springs.
1 in 'A Song to Calm the Storm'.
1 in 'Shadows Creep'
1 in 'Eternal Rivals'

We are also introduced to the splitstaff weapon in this DLC - same requirements as every other weapon (120,000 proficiency).
Darkness in the Capital (DLC)

story related achievements

The Demon and the Phoenix
Guardian of the Gate
What Must be Done
The Ultimate Recognition

One more story related achievement can be unlocked:

The Flame That Lights the Darkness
In 'Palace of the Damned' there are 5 fire altars you have to lit. Check the top floor of the buildings if you can not find them! Otherwise, you will likely see them when completing the level! Remember the one on top of the building right before fighting Nue. The rest should be easy to find.

Other achievements

Tsuchigumo Exterminated
Defeat the boss Tsuchigumo in the main mission "The Blighted Gate" while you have equipped gear with Dragon Ninja effect. You can easily farm Dragon Ninja gear in the sub mission "The Dragon Clan".

Behind the Bamboo Blinds
When you are fighting an Oboroguruma you have to pay attention and adjust your stance to where it is gold:
Horns = high stance
Eyes = mid stance
Tongue = low stance
When given the opportunity, do burst counter. Stance does not matter here, you just need to successfully burst counter and there is a chance that the Amrita releases.

Another thing that worked out for me is to aim for head only. You can farm the Oboroguruma in the main mission 'Suzune in the Flames' - run through the fire next to the starting shrine and there will be one. Go to shrine again when you killed it, rinse and repeat until the achievement is completed.

True Atonement
Go to the shrine and choose Stone of Penance. You have to offer any item and then receive a Stone of Penance. When you have received and activated the Stone of Penance, you just have to kill enemies until the penitence is on 100%. You will notice a bar appears next time you are clearing a level. When the Stone of Penance is active, the enemies become stronger.

Collectible achievements
:
Kodama Pathfinder
There is a total of 25 Kodama in Darkness in the capital DLC.
8 in the main mission 'Palace of the Damned'
2 in the main mission 'Suzune in the Flames'
9 in the main mission 'The Blighted Gate'
6 in the sub mission 'The Buddha's Palm'

Spa Fanatic

1 in the main mission 'Palace of the Damned' (behind a yokai wall)
1 in the main mission 'The Blighted Gate'
1 in the sub mission 'The Demon Slayers'
1 in the sub mission 'The Buddha's Palm'

We are also introduced to the fists in this DLC. Again, the requirements are the same as the other weapons!
The First Samurai (DLC)

1 in the main mission 'Dawn of the Demon'
2 in the main mission 'A Distant Dream'
2 in the sub mission 'In Search of the Elixir'

Other achievements

Way of the Vanquisher
Way of Vanquisher is by far the hardest achievement to complete. You will at least have to reach Dream of the Demon difficulty (NG++) to complete this. Head to The First Samurai region and complete the side mission "Against All Conors". This can be very tough as you have to fight a boss and some Yokai's from each region including Utakemero twice in the end.

The Path We've Taken
In the sub mission 'A Familiar Glow' there is 3 benevolent graves where you can summon Tokichiro, Minamoto no Yoshitsune, and Minamoto no Yorimitsu: Summon each of them in different games and the achievement is completed.

Cleansing Caskmaster
In 'Dawn of the Demon' casks of holy water are placed around the waterfall area. In order to unlock this achievement you simply need to smash one when an enemy is close to it. They are placed all over the area and it is very easy to do.

Honoring the Dead
Complete the sub mission 'Words of Respite'

Scent of Danger
Complete the sub mission 'The Alluring Ancient'. To unlock this sub mission you have to clear 'A Distant Dream' & obtain 3 grilled tang sweets from the missions of The First Samurai region. You can find the 3 grilled tang sweets in the following missions:
1 in the main mission 'A Distant Dream'
1 in the main mission 'Dawn of the Demon'
1 in the sub mission 'In Search of the Elixir'

A Friend Indeed
There are located 3 Mujina's in the main mission 'A Distant Dream'. Find all 3, and the achievement is completed. The locations of the three Mujina are:

1. The first Mujina: From the starting shrine, head up the slope and stick to the right side to come across a small stone bridge (Same area as the first hot spring). Continue straight ahead to find a place to drop down toward the left side. Jump all the way down to find the first Mujina.
2. The second Mujina is located inside a cell on the lower level of the large wooden building. Get the Prison Key by defeating the Konaki-Jiji.
3. Proceed toward the nearby shrine(The one were the gates are closed before the boss fight) and head up stairs nearby. Continue to head up and look to the right side to find the last Mujina sitting in a small cabin.

Hey there is a way to check how many hot-springs there is on a mission and how many you got, select the mission and press R1 on PS controler (RB for XBox controller), it will show some very useful info, like how many times you cleared, if there's any locks of hair (Onmyo/Ninja), Hotsprings, no need to fry your brain mentally keeping track on all of em
