Valheim has support for Steam Friends to just connect to a local instance of your own game.

There currently is no support in either single-player or multi-player to change day or night. There is technically "Cheat" codes in singleplayer, but they are disabled in a multiplayer server by the devs. I'd say wait until modders get around to making a dedicated admin tool.
And of course a question :p In multiplayer, do you have to play on a dedicated server, or can you do like a LAN connection computer to computer on the same network, like in our home?
