This guide will show you how to do custom steam status text by
   renaming the non-steam game
 
 
 

     
                              
                              
                             

                            Open the steam application, select the "Games" tab, and then click
                                               "Add Non-Steam Games to my Library"
   
                                                                                                                                                                 

     
                              
                              
                             

                             Select the executable you want to use as a display on your profile
                                                       and click "Add Selected Programs"
   
                                                                                                                                                                 

     
                              
                              
                             

                               Find the program you've added to the library, right-click on it

                                         Change its name to whatever else you want to
                                           be displayed on your profile as a status text
