Predicting Elites and Finding Good Ships

This guide is for players that have some game knowledge and will assist in elite prediction using all knowledge that I know and also give recomendations about "How good ships must be".

Elite Basics
Elites are usually upgraded "prototypes" of randomly generated ships encountered from played songs. Sometimes Elites are unpredictable if the track is under 2 minutes long; this means you won't know if it is good or not. Either way, it's a good idea to get the Elite.

All elites always have the "Elite" suffix, if it can fit in the ship title. If the ship title cannot fit the word "Elite", it will contain as many letters of the word "Elite" as possible.

Elites also have unique engine tracers!

I'll only be touching on the important stats. These are the highest stats the various manufacturers can naturally get (that we know of so far).

Basic Elite Prediction
Usually buffs for Elite ship variants work like this.

Changing ship scale (the ship size multiplier):
(Actual ship size can be bigger or smaller, scale does not really affect it that much.)
+1.50 Top Speed
+0.30 Bullet Speed
+0.30 Bullet Damage
+0.10 Pickup Force

(This applies for all manufacturers.)

Unusual Elite Prediction
Sometimes an Elite randomly change some stats with including usual buffs.

Types of Changes
1."Random stats"
Ship can change most of his stats,is so random ♥♥♥♥ that can't be predicted.

2."Changing pattern"
Same as "Random Stats" but pattern also change,if you see that original ship's pattern is different than elite,it means that elite will change his own stats.

3."2.00 to 3.00 damage"(For brutes only)
If damage so low(2.10-2.30) it will add +1.00 damage and will change other random stats.

Good Ships
Really good ships(includes elites,original and workshop ships) generally have stats similar to these.
Numbers are written differently to represent "X or higher" and "X or lower".
For example:
0.92- is read as "0.92 or lower".
1.5+ is read as "1.5 or higher".
  • Brutes
    Size: Small enough that you can dodge stuff.
    Acceleration: 1.20 to 1.30
    Deceleration: 0.93-
    Top Speed: 14.00+
    Bullet Speed: 1.30+ (The higher, the better.)
    Bullet Damage: Any damage will fine
    Pickup Force: 0.05 to 0.20
    Beams: 6 (always)

  • Mosquitoes
    Size: Irrelevant, all mosquitoes are tiny.
    Acceleration: 1.50+
    Deceleration: 0.88-
    Top Speed: 22.00-(recommended)
    Bullet Speed: 1.20+ (Most mosquitoes have this, so don't worry about it.)
    Bullet Damage: 3.40+
    Pickup Force: -0.05 to 0.30
    Beams: 2 (always)

  • Thiefs (Gopniks)
    Size: Small enough to dodge everything.
    Acceleration: 1.20+
    Deceleration: 0.94-
    Top Speed: 14.00-17.00
    Bullet Speed: Any bullet speed is fine.
    Bullet Damage: 1.50 to 2.00
    Pickup Force: Irrelevant, all Thiefs have ridiculous pickup force.
    Beams: 4(always)

  • Scorchers
    Size: Small enough to dodge but make sure your beams still have a good spread.
    Acceleration: 1.50+
    Deceleration: 0.92-
    Top Speed: 14.00+
    Bullet Speed: Any bullet speed is fine.
    Bullet Damage: 1.50 to 2.00
    Pickup Force: 0.02 to 0.30
    Beams: 6(always)

  • Gens
    Size: Most are small enough, so don't worry about this.
    Acceleration: 1.50+
    Deceleration: Irrelevant.
    Top Speed: Irrelevant.
    Bullet Speed: Irrelevant.
    Bullet Damage: 1.65 to 2.00
    Pickup Force: 0.02 to 0.30
    Beams: 4(always)

  • BLAZERS
    Size: Small enough to dodge.
    Acceleration: 1.50+
    Deceleration: 0.93-
    Top Speed:21.00-
    Bullet Speed: Uh.......Way too fast.
    Bullet Damage: 1.50+
    Pickup Force: 0.05 to 0.25
    Beams: 4(always)

  • WBC
    Size: Small enough to dodge.
    Acceleration: Irrelevant.
    Deceleration: 0.92-
    Top Speed: 15.00+
    Bullet Speed: Irrelevant.
    Bullet Damage: Any damage is fine.
    Pickup Force: 0.00 to 0.20
    Beams: 4(always)

  • Workshop Ships (or how make them)
    Size: 0,90-
    Acceleration: 1.50-2.50
    Deceleration: 0.92-0.96 (less size,more deceleration)
    Top Speed: 17.00-
    Bullet Speed: 0.70-1.50
    Bullet Damage: 1.60+
    Pickup Force: 0.00 to 1.00
    Beams: Any count of beams will fine

But as i said,everything depends from your preferences,and all those recomendations are half from my preferences and experience from this game.if you want to have a millon top speed,your choose(but you will ram into different objects because you will have not enough acceleration).

I have a question: Mosquits having Top Speed: 22.00-(recommended) <- that means less than 22 is better?
