VR Mode - How to make it work

VR Mode doesn't always work correctly when you launch War Thunder. It has to do with the order in which you launch the game. Follow my guide to make it work correctly, every time.

How to make VR Mode work
War Thunder doesn't always seem to work correctly with VR when you launch it. It is related to the order of operations as you are opening the game. Follow this order to make sure your VR mode will work correctly every time.

Start with Steam VR closed.

1. Open the war thunder launcher
2. Open the advanced settings by clicking the gear icon in the top portion of the launcher.
2. Make sure that you have a checkmark next to "VR Mode"
3. Now open Steam VR.
4. Once Steam VR is open and your headset is working, Launch War Thunder using hte "Play" button in the launcher.

If you follow this order, the game will work. If you launch Steam VR prior to opening the launcher, or after you launch the game, it will not work correctly.

i dont see the gear what should i do

There has got to be a better way to control the plane. It is totally whacky even with this order of start up. Does anyone know where a good controller binding is that lets you use fly like a real using a flight yoke.

I played war thunder with VR but it worked fine so i don't really need the guide

Another good thing to add is to bind a button to reset tracking position, which is in the Common section of controls all the way at the bottom. This will allow you to reset your head position, because sometimes your head is not in the right spot for whatever reason.
