In-Game Items
Ammo
Adds up to 12 ammo, often dropped by enemies, gun MUST be equipped to pick up ammo. Max ammo is 32.

Health Potion
Restores up to 30% health, rarely dropped by enemies and more often found while exploring.

Explosive Barrels
Shooting them with a gun will cause them to explode. They will not damage you, but I have not seen proof that they will damage enemies either.

???
I don't know what this does. If you figure it out, please leave a comment.

Enemies
If it moves, you had best kill it. The first gun you get and the shovel both deal 1 damage to enemies.

Doors
Doors like this one can be opened with Space, and they will quickly shut behind you.

Locked Gates
These gates can be opened by shooting the lock with your gun.

User Interface
From left to right, this shows your current health, the area you are in, and how much ammo you have for your equipped weapon.
Basic Gameplay
Explore the area to look for the exit. Shoot any enemies you find along the way, grabbing extra ammo and health potions along the way. Your screen will flash red if something is damaging you. Most enemies that can hurt you from a distance are humanoid in shape.

You can save at any time by pressing escape, and it would probably be good to save after you beat each area, or just before you beat a certain area if you know where the exit is. The game has been known to crash between areas, although I think this tends to happen more if you press buttons during the transition time; however, I think you have to hit right arrow to advance to the next area.

I'm not sure, but you can also use the left and right arrow keys to help turn the camera if your mouse is being weird.
