Popis
When Larson Engineering first introduced the Mule-Class Freight Shuttle, people rejoiced at the single pilot operation and suprisingly versatile cargo capacity. The ability for the Mule-Class to carry an array of cargos was one its prizes features.

However, the Mule-Class was soon outshone in terms of pure cargo capacity, and Larson Engineering set about creating a new and improved Cargo Hauler.

What they created was the Ox-Class. Building off the defining features of the Mule-Class, the Ox-Class is a Multipurpose Hauler, featuring four docking ports, onto which an array of different modules can be attached as per the need of the operators.

In this asteroid field, a small distance from the Larson Engineering shipyards, you will find a number of Ox-Class ships with a variety of typical module layouts, all painted in Alterran Fleet colours, though the Ox-Class is also available to the civilian market.

Ox-Class ships have a minimum crew of four:
- The Captain, who serves as the ship's pilot
- The First Mate, who manages navigation
- The Logistics Officer, who manages the docked modules and communications
- The Engineering Officer, who maintains the ship away from port

Technical Specifications:
Note: Specifications are for a flatbed ship, with no cargo or modules.
Length: 105m
Beam: 60m
Draught: 20m
Displacement: 1,600 tonnes
Complement: 4 personnel

Flatbed:
Docked Modules:
- None
Description:
This Ox-Class has no docked modules, and shows how an Ox-Class looks and flies when bare.

Four Module:
Docked Modules:
- 1x Passenger Module
- 1x Cargo Module
- 1x Medical Module
- 1x Hangar Module
Description:
Though not a standard module layout by any means, this Ox-Class shows that it is possible to put any assortment of modules on an Ox-Class.

Freight Shuttle:
Docked Modules:
- 4x Cargo Module
Description:
The most typical setup, and the original design plan, the Ox-Class Freight Shuttle can haul a massive amount of cargo across space.

Light Transport:
Docked Modules:
- 3x Passenger Module
- 1x Medical Module
Description:
The introduction of the Passenger Modules allowed Ox-Class ships to function as passenger transports. However, due to the passenger vessel regulations, the Ox-Class Light Transport has to carry a Medical Module.

Light Carrier:
Docked Modules:
- 3x Hangar Module
- 1x Passenger Module
Description:
The Ox-Class Light Carrier is able to carry three small craft as well as their pilots and a mechanic/technician/engineer across space. Sometimes seen in use by the Fleet Auxiliaries alongside small patrol fleets.

Medical Transport:
Docked Modules:
- 3x Medical Module
- 1x Passenger Module
Description:
Used mostly by civilian hospital station and the Fleet Auxiliaries, Medical Transports can carry a large number of patients, as well as the medical staff required to care for them. Sometimes used as medical evac ships when dedicated craft are not available.

Gunboat:
Docked Modules:
- 2x Gun Module
- 1x Passenger Module
- 1x Cargo Module
Description:
Only ever operated by the Fleet Auxiliaries as small patrol vessels, Gunboats can put down surprisingly heavy broadsides with the large guns lifted from Aurelian Virtue-Class Cruisers. The Cargo Module stores ammunition for the two guns, as well as supplies to repair both. The Passenger Module is for the two Gunnery Chiefs and the two Gunnery technicians. The four alone manage both guns with no assistance from the typical Ox-Class crew.

When they're stripped of cargo units they look kinda like insects... I want to go back to this and redesign it with real modularity though.
