Hey does anyone remember the opening scene of Armored Core V trailer, where the tank drops into the street? no?


Anyway, It seems they updated the hit box of the blocks. Combined with hinges, I finally have the chance to built this, which was an idea from ages ago.

This is a heavy armored vehicle with retractable retro thrusters (and parachutes) that allow it to perform airdrop, as well as hovering. See the pictures and you will know what I mean.

I built a flight mode for this. Toggle it using toolbar 9 timer block. The cockpit is at the front. toggle the timer block will extend armored plates and turn on thrusters, as well as gyroscopes. The turret is locked during flight mode.

BTW this is after all not an aircraft, so it only hovers. Handling isn't great. Also, to keep the front armor integrity, there is no forward thrusters. So you need to pitch up a little bit to control speed.

Other then that. This is a tank with regular functions.


Like most of the tanks, it used tons of scripts...

You executed this concept really well! Lots of attention to detail with brake lights, indicator lights and beacon for airdrop. Subgrid thrusters are always a little slippery, but they do the job well enough.

The whole concept is kind of "extra" beyond the sake of the video intro it was based on -- a bit ridiculous for most normal survival play needs I can think of. :D But it's pretty fun. Do all the external LCDs do anything at all? I saw nothing in their text/custom data, so I cut all of them and the soundblocks off to save a few 100s PCUs (to hopefully help sim/PCU cost when spawning in a bunch of these).

i have tried hover tank, but you can't use turret while flying, the control overlaps.

Could we possibly get this in a respawn ship format? Both with Assault Cannon and Autocannon forms?

Impressive! Thats a lot of plumbing tucked in there and still looking good too. Thats hard to do.

Idk why, but tank is just stuck while on whels, i just cant move, but while it howering everything is fine. What should i do?

there is a MART group, if u removed the original weapons, try put the camera in the group. go above and c the actual script instructions, check what is needed to be in the group.
