Vanometric Cell Combining

Kuvaus
For when you are late game and have 50 unstable power cells that you dont feel like placing one by one. This mod allows you to combine Vanometric cells to increase convenience when you have large amounts of them.
Load this mod after Royalty , VFE - Power , VFE - Mechanoids , and Save Our Ship 2
(Depending on what you are using)

External Save our Ship 2 Patch:

SOS Patch here (could not fit in same mod, not sure why or if its even possible)

Deconstuct Vanometric cells to receive Vanometric Power Cores. After researching the appropriate tech you can then repurpose Vanometric power cores into different Vanometric power cells

Is this balanced? I think so. You cant craft them from nothing, you cant get more power cells than what you started with. Also you only get 75% of resources when deconstructing (75% chance to receive single items) meaning the more you deconstruct the more you lose. The amount of cores required to build (and power output of reactor) depends on how many spaces the cells take up.

This mod needs other mods to be useful. Without Royalty, VFE-Power or VFE-Mechanoids this mod only adds Vanometric Power Cores (which you can only get from the 2x1 Vanometric power cell) and the Vanometric Tinkering Research (Spacer) and you can only build the 2x1 Vanometric power cell.

So make sure you're using Royalty and/or VFE Power and/or VFE Mechs

Royalty DLC (without Royalty and with VFE Power, a single harmless red error is thrown on startup)

- Construct/salvage unstable power cells (400W) from Vanometric Power Cores after researching Vanometric Basics (Industrial)

Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Power

- Construct/salvage small vanometric power cells (450W) from Vanometric Power Cores after researching Vanometric Basics (Industrial)
- Construct/salvage large vanometric power cells (2400W) from Vanometric Power Cores after researching Advanced (Archotech) Vanometrics (Ultra)

Vanilla Factions Expanded - Mechanoids

- Construct/salvage a Vanometric/Mechanoid Reactor (29400W) after researching Ultimate Vanometric Capability (Archotech).
- Link up to 4 Super computers to a research table for a research speed bonus (+20%) I found them underwhelming, also required for research.

It's a different building so you cant just steal the one from mechanoid ships either. Destroying either with damage does not drop any Vanometric Power Cores.

The power output was kept the same as defined by their original authors. (VE team or Tynan) except for Vanometric reactor but i followed the general trend.

1x1 Unstable power cell (Royalty) ------------------------ 400W per tile ------- 400W total

1x1 small Vanometric power cell (VFE - Power) --------- 450W per tile ------- 450W total

2x1 Vanometric power cell (Vanilla) --------------------- 500W per tile ------ 1000W total

2x2 large Vanometric power cell (VFE - Power) --------- 600W per tile ------ 2400W total

7x6 Vanometric Reactor (VFE - Mechanoids) ----------- 700W per tile ------- 29400W total

If you ever decide to rework this mod for 1.5, my idea was generally following your resource requirments, except with minified cells instead of cores.
So 1 unstable into 1 small (basically stabilizing small cell)
2 small into 1 medium
(plus alternative recipe of 3 unstable into 1 medium for vanilla only)
2 medium into 1 large
and 10 or 11 large into 1 reactor (exact balance is 10.5, so either works)

And of course that would make vanometric cores unnecessary.

Welp, it seems I hit the same wall as previously with Make Anything Buildable (mod that allows to add/edit construction recipes)
When I set building as ingredient, game thinks I want building, not minified building
Minified buildings aren't recognized as valid, only installed buildings.
But when installed, pawns uninstall said building, carry to blueprint and drop it next to it, instead of putting it "in"
It seems game is very confused when you try make buildings from another buildings

Alternatively what must be used is minified versions, but I'm not exactly sure how set those as requirment.
I'll try messing around a bit more, but I doubt my knowledge will be enough to figure out minified use, and google gives out nothing useful.

I have a question- can I use your mod as basis for mine?
I had idea for different approach that doesn't use vanometric cores, but minified previous tiers instead (mostly born out of frustration when deconstruction doesn't give cores)
Only issue I can think of is using specific minified buildings as construction resource, but will have to give a try and see how game handles it.

Mostly asking because this mod is already halfway there and it can be repurposed with a bit of tinkering, instead of writting new mod from scratch.
