You can't progress and you are to lazy to find missed clues in your databank?
No worries the scanner room got you covered!

To progress the story you are mainly searching for fragments and databoxes which often will lead you to new PDA files. (And sweet new tech)

You will need:
Habitat builder
1 Quartz
2 Copper
20 Titanium
1 Gold
1 Wiring kit
1 Lube
1 Tabel Coral
Any organic matter

and 2 big balls to go deeper

1 Foundation
1 I Compartment
1 Hatch
1 Multipurpose Room
1 Bioreactor
1 Scanner Room

*Edit you can skip foundation and save 2 Titanium and 2 lead

You do not lose materials when you deconstruct the base, and since the materials only take up roughly 60% inventory space you can move the base to a new location you want to explore.

On your person
"Scanner Room HUD Chip" is a must. Its very hard to find what you are looking for without it. It is placed in your personal equipment, opposite side from the compass.

In the scanner upgrade module
You can also install "Scanner Room Range Upgrade" which are stackable to make the base cover a larger area (See chart)














Another option is the "Scanner Room Speed Upgrade" (also stackable) which reduces the time it takes the scanner to find new nodes, but I find the scanner to be fast enough when I'm out collecting what the scanner already found without the upgrades. (See chart)
