Welcome to this guide! This guide will show you how to rip textures and sprites from Toy Story 3.

Anyways, on with the guide!

First, there are a few things you will need.

• NovaSW Extractor. This can be found here[tcrf.net]
  
• Any program that can open DDS files. I personally use this https://www.getpaint.net/download.html
  
• Any program that can extract things. I use 7zip[www.7-zip.org]
  
• The Toy Story 3 game, of course! Must have the Steam version.

First off, you'll need to find where your game is stored. This varies, but is usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Toy Story 3.
Next, you want to navigate to the "assets" folder, then find the files you want to extract. For example, the "ui" folder contains GUI elements and icons. Each group of files will be in a .zip file, which can be extracted into a normal file by using the program of your choice. For 7zip, you right click on the .zip file, then hover over 7zip and press "Extract to [filename]\"
Once you have a raw folder, make sure what you want to extract is inside that folder. Images are stored inside .oct files.
Next, you'll want to open NovaSW. Click on the folder icon at the very top, and navigate to where the .oct file is. Click on it, then press Open. Then press Start. At the bottom, you should see a .dds file. Click the checkmark next to it, and press Extract. It will prompt you to select a file location. Pick one, and it will extract the .dds file to that location. Then, just open the .dds file in your program of choice, and you have the texture!
