1. When somebody is doing a task, look at the "total tasks completed" meter to see if it goes up when he finishes
Check up on somebody when they're doing a task and when they finishes and the "total tasks completed" meter goes up, he's innocent

!Warning! This does NOT apply when somebody is doing a task that requires more stages to complete because the meter dosen't go up when they're doing that sort of task
2. Let Someone See You do a Visual Task
Visual Tasks are tasks that other players can see being performed. Seeing someone do a visual task is proof that they are not An Impostor since Impostors cannot do tasks.

Tasks that are visual are:
- Medbay scan
- Destroy Asteroids
- Clear trash (only in storage room)
- Prime shields
3. Be on the lookout for odd behaviour
Strange behavior doesn’t necessarily an Impostor, but it is definitely worth making a mental note of.

Odd behavior:

- Standing near vents for no reason
- Standing in corners of a room away from tasks
- Not being able to clearly articulate what tasks they were working on during a round
- Making excuses for not finishing things because of reasons outside the game
- Staying in only one or two rooms where there aren't many tasks
- Standing near doors but not entering rooms frequently
- Going in the same room that he did a task in, twice
4. Watch the Kill Counter, it dosen't recharge in a vent
A lot of mistakes rookies make is coming out the vent to kill someone but find out they're kill cooldown didn't charge because they were in a vent
5. Don't stay too far away from crewmates
This tip is for Impostor and Crewmate. As an impostor you don't want to stay far away because if you do a kill while the other crewmates are all together, they're gonna know it was you because you were the only one there. As a crewmate, if a kill is made and you're far away, you're at the risk of being sus because you weren't with the group and you were far away.
6. Stay calm and don't stress out as an Impostor
I know it can be very stressful your first few times being an impostor but try to not stress out. Stay calm and confident. Being stressed out leads to odd/sus behavior making it obvious it's you. If you start getting stressed, start taking deep breaths and just play it cool
7. Don't spam chat with questions
You shouldn’t be afraid to speak, but there is no need to ask the same question over and over again. Sometimes, Among Us chats look (or sound) like this:
“Who?”
“Where?”
“Where was the body?”
“Red sus”
“Where?”
“Who should I vote for?”

This makes you look super sus. Just keep yourself from spamming chat with questions like these
8. Don’t Self-Report All the Time
Self-reporting isn't a bad thing. You can use it when you kill in a open space and don't have time to hide. But limit yourself from self-reporting too many times in a match, it can make you look sus

1st time: "Not sus"
2nd time: "Weird that he found two times but eh, just luck
3rd time: "He's definitely the imp, keep a eye on him
4th time: "Everyone vote *color* out! He's the impostor!"
9. Don’t Be Too Aggressive During Discussions
If you throw blame around every chance you get, soon enough everyone is going to think you’re the Impostor. Don’t push too hard during discussions, especially after a body is reported. People will start to think you’re deflecting blame to save yourself, and it’s hard to recover when the people you accused weren't the Impostor.
10. Kill Talkative Crewmates First
Some players are better detectives than others, and these players need to go. If you’re the Imposter, take note of who’s leading the discussions and investigations when bodies are found. Try to kill these players, especially if they’re catching on to you. Don’t do it if it will bring suspicion to you (obviously), but try to take out the loudest, most talkative players first.

i would also recommend being a "detective impostor". This means staying with the group, always being calm, and investigating the "crime scene". The detective imp would say things like: Was anyone near? That's sus if *color* was just on their own, while the rest of us was together. This has worked many, many times for me.
